Renovation project of a three bedroom Victorian terraced house on Telegraph Hill, London. Renovation works took place to create an enhanced feeling of wellbeing throughout. This included a new modern contemporary kitchen, enlarged first floor bathroom and new W.C. New double glazed timber sash windows were added to improve energy efficiency and reduce noise from the busy road. The original natural flooring was sanded and re-treated. Plasterwork was restored and electrics upgraded to create a more sustainable, energy efficient home. Exterior spaces were redesigned to create a new garden layout which would facilitate social interaction and incorporate bin storage.

The new kitchen design balanced both form and function. Push to open doors finger pull mechanisms contribute to the contemporary and minimalist style our client wanted. The cabinetry design symmetry allowing the focal point - an eye catching window splashback - to take centre stage. Wash and preparation zones were allocated to the rear of the kitchen freeing up the grand island bench for casual family dining, entertaining and everyday activities. Photography: Urban Angles

Ryan Wicks Photography A traditional hand painted inframe bespoke kitchen. Virtually every unit is curved to follow to the shape of the room. The island naturally follows the rest of the units which has turned it into a teardrop. Plenty of storage for over 300 bottles of wine. This is a real show kitchen. For this bespoke kitchen design Dan Stronge of Jones Britain won Kitchen Designer of the Year (Over 30k), whose traditional, ornate kitchen design was praised for its attention to detail.

An open-plan bright and charming basement kitchen uses a clever blend of colours and tones which complement each other beautifully, creating a contemporary feel. A white Corian work top wraps around grey silk finished lacquered cupboard doors and draws. Terracotta hexagonal floor tiles bounce off the original brick work above the oven adding a traditional touch. David Giles
