Medium Sized Living Room with Light Hardwood Flooring and a Wallpapered Ceiling Ideas and Designs

This was a through lounge and has been returned back to two rooms - a lounge and study. The clients have a gorgeously eclectic collection of furniture and art and the project has been to give context to all these items in a warm, inviting, family setting. No dressing required, just come in home and enjoy!

The brief for this project involved a full house renovation, and extension to reconfigure the ground floor layout. To maximise the untapped potential and make the most out of the existing space for a busy family home. When we spoke with the homeowner about their project, it was clear that for them, this wasn’t just about a renovation or extension. It was about creating a home that really worked for them and their lifestyle. We built in plenty of storage, a large dining area so they could entertain family and friends easily. And instead of treating each space as a box with no connections between them, we designed a space to create a seamless flow throughout. A complete refurbishment and interior design project, for this bold and brave colourful client. The kitchen was designed and all finishes were specified to create a warm modern take on a classic kitchen. Layered lighting was used in all the rooms to create a moody atmosphere. We designed fitted seating in the dining area and bespoke joinery to complete the look. We created a light filled dining space extension full of personality, with black glazing to connect to the garden and outdoor living.

Dans cette demeure de 1910 à Fontainebleau, le défi consistait à redonner vie à un salon manquant de clarté malgré ses superbes hauteurs sous plafond. L’intervention s’articule autour d’un parti pris chromatique audacieux : le Deep Reddish de Farrow & Ball, qui crée un écrin enveloppant et sophistiqué. Pour rompre l’obscurité, l’architecture a été retravaillée avec la création de moulures classiques et d'une ouverture vitrée stratégique, apportant une profondeur visuelle inédite. En mêlant réorganisation de l’espace (épuration du mobilier, bibliothèque intégrée masquant la TV) et un mix & match de matières — velours bleu, touches caramel et rose poudré — ce séjour devient un cocon intime. La lumière est magnifiée par un jeu de miroirs sur mesure inclinés, transformant chaque rayon de soleil en une source de rayonnement naturel.
