This project was a tired old weatherboard that was in need of alot of preparation and modernisation. The clients were very brave and wanted to make a bold statement which I think worked brilliantly in the end.

These houses are nestled in the bush near the beach at Noosa North Shore. Designed as holiday homes they cater for larger groups and have features such as this outdoor shower for washing off the sand upon returning from the beach. The adjacent clothes line is a great place for damp sandy towels too!

Planning regulations in the conservation zone dictated the size of the dormer window that we were able to install, but with the neutral tones, reclaimed timber flooring and exposed beams, the room has a lot of character. The client had a salvaged fireplace that she wanted us to install and the floorboards were all reclaimed, sanded and stained.
