A tasmanian Oak floor with a beautiful matt water based finish was selected by jess and its light and airy. this unifies the old and new parts. Colour was used playfully. Jess came up with a diverse colour scheme that somehow works really well. The wallpaper in the hall is warm and luxurious. ​

A unique blend of visual, textural and practical design has come together to create this bright and enjoyable Clonfarf kitchen. Working with the owners interior designer, Anita Mitchell, we decided to take inspiration from the spectacular view and make it a key feature of the design using a variety of finishes and textures to add visual interest to the space and work with the natural light. While we were working on the lounge project the couple decided to revamp the kitchen retaining as many of the original units as possible. We removed the wall units opting for simple display shelving. There were overpowering dark blue tiles on the wall around the sink area and we removed these in favour of a painted finish and upstand. We also replaced the existing breakfast bar which was overlarge with this arrangement that includes storage underneath. Image by Georgi Mabee

The original layout on the ground floor of this beautiful semi detached property included a small well aged kitchen connected to the dinning area by a 70’s brick bar! Since the kitchen is 'the heart of every home' and 'everyone always ends up in the kitchen at a party' our brief was to create an open plan space respecting the buildings original internal features and highlighting the large sash windows that over look the garden.
