The Brief A glitzy, designer-style kitchen was required for this kitchen project in Merstham, Surrey, with designer George tasked with combining several textures and finishes to create the desired aesthetic. Premium appliance choices were also an element of the brief, with an in-keeping TV area also specified as part of the project. Design Elements To achieve the designer aesthetic required, two bold finishes from our British supplier Mereway have been combined. The finishes are Champagne Metallic, used for the island and wall units, and Copper Gloss which is used for the base and full-height units. The furniture has been utilised in handleless form throughout the kitchen, with matt black handrails complimenting the contemporary style of the space. The layout ensures there is plenty of storage space throughout the kitchen whilst a long island area provides plenty of workspace as well as a place to perch. Vanilla Noir quartz work surfaces have been used everywhere in the space and to add a feature to the island a waterfall edge has been incorporated. Special Inclusions High-tech appliance choices add further to the modern style of this kitchen. On the island, a Bora Pure venting hob is included opposite two Neff slide & hide ovens. Elsewhere in the kitchen a Neff full-height refrigerator, full-height freezer and dishwasher have been integrated behind furniture. The Quooker boiling tap removes the need for a traditional kettle and provides a consistent stream of 100°C boiling water. Near the sink area, a built-in wine cabinet has also been included to chill drinks to a precise temperature. Project Highlight At the end of the room, a custom TV area has been created in matching style to the kitchen area. This space nicely frames the TV and adds extra storage to the kitchen space. Feature shelving has also been included as a place for decorative items, with undercabinet lighting adding to the ambience of this area. The End Result The end result of this project is a nicely balanced, bold and impactful kitchen space. The two chosen finishes combine perfectly with other glitzy accents in the room, whilst appliance choices will ensure the kitchen is functional when in use. Inspiration for a small contemporary single-wall open plan kitchen in Berlin with yellow cabinets, light hardwood flooring, a built-in sink, flat-panel cabinets, white splashback and yellow worktops.

Ultramodern German Kitchen in Worthing, West Sussex A natural wood finish and matt effect textures have been used to modernise this Worthing kitchen and matching TV area. The Brief This client required a modernisation of their kitchen and dining area to bring it up to date with a neutral theme. The design needed to be light and airy, plus it had to make the most of natural light through windows to the rear of the property. They sought to improve this room for the entire family and had ideas to improve the dining space with a TV to watch whilst cooking or enjoying meals together. Design Elements After searching for inspiration and style ideas in some of our brochures, this client settled on a natural wood and matt effect combination from German supplier Bauformat’s brochure. Opting for slightly alternate tones to suit their own preference, a Toffee wood finish and Sand Beige matt finish would be the chosen finishes for this space. The task then for designer Aron was to deploy this combination across an arrangement of furniture to suit this client’s requirements. The layout is not dissimilar to the client’s previous kitchen, though Aron has improved the flow of furniture to enhance storage space and natural light into the kitchen. A long run is used across the rear wall of the property to house a sink, dishwasher, hob and extractor, which allows natural light to pour through these windows. Opposite, full-height units facilitate integrated appliances and the client’s own ovens. In the corner next to the door wall units have been included above a wooden splashback, and a small worktop area has also been created which is ideal for storing small appliances. Special Inclusions Several special inclusions help to improve the function of this space, with many inspired by our showroom displays and designer Aron’s recommendations. Pull-out integrated storage drawers, a tambour unit, and drawer dividers are just some of the options this client has chosen to include. The modernisation of this space also extends to several new appliance choices. A Quooker boiling tap provides this kitchen space with a constant stream of 100°C boiling water and is installed above a contemporary 1.5 bowl Blanco sink. Next to this, a Neff hob is accompanied by an overhead extractor from Neff also, which both add great functionality when it’s time to cook. To suit this new design, lighting and electrical improvements have been made throughout. Ceiling downlights, a pendant light above the dining area, and undercabinet lights installed beneath wall units brighten up this space. New electrical sockets have also been installed to suit the layout. Project Highlight The TV area is a lovely in keeping addition to this kitchen space, with additional storage created for decorative items another great inclusion. This area is sure to change the way this family uses their kitchen making it a more sociable environment for future use. The End Results This project incorporates all the elements of the initial brief with a cohesive design replicated across a vast kitchen and new TV and dining area. Classic British Kitchen in Horsham, West Sussex A vibrant splashback brightens up this classic shaker-style kitchen space, which is inspired by one of our Horsham showroom displays. The Brief This local Horsham client sought an improvement to their previous kitchen which was tired and needed updating. It was also key to include some personalised improvements, like a sizeable cooking area, as well as additional storage. The client sought a design to compliment their existing flooring, which runs through the kitchen and dining area, and was in a pristine condition. Design Elements The finished kitchen utilises a u-shaped layout as did the previous kitchen, with the addition of full-height storage where the ovens have been placed. The design was inspired by one of our Horsham showroom kitchen displays, and utilises shaker-style cabinetry from British supplier Mereway. The neutral Ivory finish works well with the existing flooring, whilst a patterned splashback adds a vibrant element to the space. Special Inclusions As a keen cook, this client sought to improve kitchen functionality with an array of premium Neff appliances. A spacious hob area was a key desirable for the client, and a Neff extractor is fitted above this area to remove any cooking odours. Opposite, a Neff single oven, combination oven and warming drawer add flexible cooking options to the kitchen. An integrated dishwasher, refrigerator and freezer are also discretely hidden behind doors. Project Highlight To compliment the flooring a Dekton work surface has been chosen. This finish is named Awake Onirika, which is a predominantly white surface, with brown veins to nicely match the flooring. The End Result This project is great example of a simple kitchen redesign and rethink. The new kitchen incorporates plenty of spacious cooking room and options, whilst complimenting the existing flooring and layout. The Brief Designer Aron was tasked with creating the most of a wrap-around space in this Brighton property. For the project an on-trend theme was required, with traditional elements to suit the required style of the kitchen area. Every inch of space was to be used to fit all kitchen amenities, with plenty of storage and new flooring to be incorporated as part of the works. Design Elements To match the trendy style of this property, and the Classic theme required by this client, designer Aron has condured a traditional theme of sage green and oak. The sage green finish brings subtle colour to this project, with oak accents used in the window framing, wall unit cabinetry and built-in dresser storage. The layout is cleverly designed to fit the space, whilst including all required elements. Selected appliances were included in the specification of this project, with a reliable Neff Slide & Hide oven, built-in microwave and dishwasher. This client’s own Smeg refrigerator is a nice design element, with an integrated washing machine also fitted behind furniture. Another stylistic element is the vanilla noir quartz work surfaces that have been used in this space. These are manufactured by supplier Caesarstone and add a further allure to this kitchen space. Special Inclusions To add to the theme of the kitchen a number of feature units have been included in the design. Above the oven area an exposed wall unit provides space for cook books, with another special inclusion the furniture that frames the window. To enhance this feature Aron has incorporated downlights into the furniture for ambient light. Throughout these inclusions, highlights of oak add a nice warmth to the kitchen space. Beneath the stairs in this property an enhancement to storage was also incorporated in the form of wine bottle storage and cabinetry. Classic oak flooring has been used throughout the kitchen, outdoor conservatory and hallway. Project Highlight The highlight of this project is the well-designed dresser cabinet that has been custom made to fit this space. Designer Aron has included glass fronted cabinetry, drawer and cupboard storage in this area which adds important storage to this kitchen space. For ambience downlights are fitted into the cabinetry. The End Result The outcome of this project is a great on-trend kitchen that makes the most of every inch of space, yet remaining spacious at the same time. In this project Aron has included fantastic flooring and lighting improvements, whilst also undertaking a bathroom renovation at the property.
