Three traditional bathrooms in a 19th century period home. The guest bathroom in the main house is adjacent to the walk-in-robe making for a luxurious guest suite. Textured white brick pattern white tiles are used sparingly on the walls. Carrarra marble is also used for the vanity top in this bathroom and extended to the splashback behind. Floor tiles are a more modern large format grey tile extending into the walk-in shower. A large heated towel rail is placed next to the original french doors with original architraves and trim. The beautiful chimney breast was nearly plastered over when the kitchen renovation was started. Luckily we spotted the potential of including it in the scheme and turning it into a real focal point of the room. Setting the range cooker in the opening turned the room layout completely around, the island becomes the prep area with a breakfront larder and fridge behind. Included is a small coffee station for the owners collection of coffee making paraphernalia. Changing the door into a window meant the new sink run could be positioned overlooking the lovely family garden. A mix of quartz and oak worktops add interest and practicality.

The rear of the property has been extended to the side and opened up into the garden with aluminium French doors with traditional divisions. The kitchen is Italian, with recessed metal handles and a light coloured marble worktop, which encompasses the freestanding kitchen island on three sides. The fronts have been painted in a Farrow and Ball colour. The floor tiles are hand made, on top of underfloor heating. Photography by Chris Snook

Our client asked us to project manage her kitchen and utility room refurbishment. We co-ordinated every stage including removal of existing cabinetry, 1st and 2nd fix electrics and plumbing, new oak floor, plastering, decorating, fitting of new kitchen cabinets and supply and fitting of quartz worksurfaces.
