Imogen Jack came highly recommended by the previous vendor of our property when a full kitchen extension was carried out in 2018. Matt and his team built a two storey extension to the side of our property including the living room, utility room and en-suite shower room on the first floor. Matt provided us with a full quotation and schedule of work were provided and adhered to. Everyday he would update us and keep us informed, if he was leaving the site early or would be late and would always let us know. Matt and the team were kind and considerate as we were living in the house while the work was completed. Matt takes such pride in his work with attention to every detail. The site was always left clean and tidy at the end of the day. Would totally recommend Matt to do any work in the future.

In a word, we are delighted with our extension, utility room and patio. We heartily recommend Imogen Jack based on our experience. This is the first time we've had any building work done, so we were prepared for a certain amount of upheaval. What we hadn't realised is just how enjoyable it could be! The team were always cheerful and polite and respectful. They cleared up routinely as appropriate. It was a real team effort. We felt involved and listened to, but we soon learned to trust Matt's judgement when he made technical and aesthetic recommendations. The works ran to time and budget, with clear conversations and budget revisions to reflect any changes we wanted or needed. It was also pleasing to see regular interaction with building control officers to evidence that everything was being done properly. We are grateful every day for their hard work. It has hugely improved our home and how we live in it.

We used Imogen Jack for building a single storey extension and removing an internal wall to create a new kitchen/diner. Having heard many disaster stories from family and friends about when they had work done to their homes I must admit to feeling pretty nervous. All my concerns turned out to be completely unfounded as it appears we managed to hire the most perfect contractors for completing the work. Always prompt and tidy throughout and completed ahead of their provided time schedule. Matt was very happy to assist in decisions when things when slightly awry and the final result is absolutely fabulous. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him and have in fact several times already. If we require further works in the future we will be back. When I tell anyone that we have had an extension built, they immediately get ready to commiserate with the stress that this must have caused us and how challenging it must have been working with builders. I can honestly say that the whole process of having our extension built by Matt has genuinely been without stress and has in fact been a pleasure. Matt is always reliable, has fantastic attention to detail and was brilliant at helping us turn our ideas into reality. Matt stuck to agreed timelines (in fact our build finished slightly early) and the agreed budget. I would wholeheartedly recommend ImogenJack to anyone.

Imogen Jack built both of the extensions to my home. The first was a single storey extension and adaptation, rewiring the whole house and replastering and redefining existing spaces. That was in 2008. The second was a second floor extension and adaptation in 2015. I hired Imogen Jack for the second extension because the experience the first time around was so positive. In addition to being very satisfied with their building skills and finishes, they were receptive, communicative, sensitive to needs and always available if i had any questions or queries. Everything was fully explained throughout the process which made for a successful and positive outcome. Highly recommended.

Matthew and the team completed our double storey side extension with loft and structural remodelling with what seemed like ease. His amicable and friendly approach to all aspects of the project gave us the ability to discuss all our questions in a good working environment, with twice monthly meetings talking about the progression of works and the scheduling as it happened. He set up a self imposed retainer within the payment schedule, extending the final payment to four months after the completion, which gave us reassurance before starting out. When he returned with a few members of his team the guys completed all the small remedial works and then continued to put up all of our pictures and made the shed in the garden which my husband was planning to do, at no extra cost. All his staff and contractors were also very helpful leaving our home clean and tidy while we were living onsite and concentrating on security when we had to move out. The finish of the project, with Kirsty's help on interiors and Matt's enthusiasm to achieve our ideas was second to none. Thanks again Kirsty, Matt and the team for building our dream

ImogenJack was recommended to us by friends who had Matt and the team complete their very large and ambitious house refurbishment and re-build - we were so impressed by the attention to detail and finish that we asked Matt to undertake our kitchen project. We booked him over a year in advance. We have been extremely impressed by the way ImogenJack undertook our kitchen build. They offered a professional, friendly, efficient and knowledgeable service from start to finish. The project involved taking down the lower part of our chimney stack in our Victorian house to create one large room from two smaller rooms, the installation of the RSJ, installation of new wooden sash windows, insulation on all the walls, under floor heating, carpentry and the build of the main kitchen (paint, units, sink etc.). Matt project managed the whole project and used excellent contractors who always arrived on time (electrician, plumber, painters and tillers). Matt and his team cared about the house and its character. He would always provide insights into how best to respect the building's fabric, whilst ensuring our new kitchen was the best it could be - we love it. The building work and work agreed with his contractors was carried out on time and on budget. The work by Matt his team was on schedule and completed to a very high standard and finish. Painting, tiling and plastering finishes are excellent. There was very good communication throughout from all the contractors and Matt. There were a couple of times when there were small issues and Matt was on hand via the phone and tried to try and fix them straight away. He was always available for any questions and he and his team always made sure we knew when the other trades people were going to arrive. He was also keen to check the work and tasks once each element of work had been completed. This was reassuring. When we had had problems (a delay) with our kitchen supplier's worktop supplier, ImogenJack supported us by recommending another local worktop suppliers he has used. He even gave us a lift when we did not have an available car to go and see the new granite options. Overall, Matt has been brilliant at making sure his suppliers and his team have approached the work properly and professionally. In addition to the build, they were also able to recommended the most appropriate paint to use for key elements (walls, steps etc) . The team always made sure that the house / work area was left as today and clean as possible, always tidying up well at the end of the day - impressive for builders! Furthermore, his team have been respectful, courteous and kind. It is not often that you have builders that work so neatly and clean up after themselves so well. They were also on site every day from early morning and worked very hard despite the intense summer heat we have had since year. Our neighbours even commented how impressed they were that our builders always turned up, stayed all day and did the work in a respectful way. Highly recommended. Images provided are some before (two) and two after (although we have a few things to finalise like the island and electrics this week so not 100% finished yet).

We've used Imogen Jack twice now - for a kitchen extension and re furniture on a Victorian terrace and for a complete gut / extend/ add loft conversion to a 1950s bungalow. Both times we have been really impressed with their creative input and thinking (ahead of and during build), quality and build standard as well as ability to keep to promises and timescales and just general professionalism in everything they do.

ImogenJack built us a wonderful ground floor extension with interior reconfiguration, fitting of new kitchen and decoration/finishing. Matt provided help and advice from the planning stage right through to completion of the project. The small and friendly team working with him were excellent at their work and very considerate of our family living alongside the work going on - taking a lot of trouble at the end of each day to tidy up and make our living space as nice as possible. We are very happy with the end result and having lived with it for a year have no problem recommending ImojenJack to friends considering similar projects.

Matt provides a first class service. The end product is to a high quality and what I especially liked was Matt's no fuss approach. We had a few hiccups along the way, some smaller, some bigger (none of them Matt's doing) and he just sorted all of it, we didn't have to worry about anything. We had quite a lot of work done and are so happy with our new look home. It was also done to schedule and cost and I can't rate him highly enough.

Matt and his team at Imogen Jack did a fabulous job converting an outdated and unnecessary en suite to my daughters room into a stunning extra bathroom. From the beginning of the process to the end...advice, vision, plans and execution, Matt was fabulous and he's surrounded by a great team.
