After a long and varied career working in the public, private and NGO sectors, and at times working alongside some outstanding photographers. I realised that my love is for the still image; the capturing of a moment for all to see. I believe that a picture is not taken or even forced on you, they just appear in time and space. It is the image that takes you into a story and it's more about feelings. I am self taught, studying the work of other great professionals, like Henri Carrier-Bresson, Don McCullin and Michael Freeman and of course constantly being out using a camera. I constantly crave knowledge and this has fed my passion which, I hope, is revealed in my pictures. I love the way that a change in the quality of light can turn a mundane scene into a magical moment and the way geometry plays a huge part in making an image memorable. I hope you enjoy my work.
