We commissioned Mark to make us a wall of wardrobes for the primary bedroom, and the results surpassed our expectations. Mark listened to our requirements, then visualised the design. We discussed options, but inevitably came back to Mark's original design, for it's sleek, modern, simple look. Mark chose the oak veneers he thought we would like, and he was spot on. We were undertaking a full renovation of a former pub, and Mark at Square One was recommended to us for the building of our kitchen and a range of bespoke joinery items. We could not be more delighted with the work that he has done: it looks fantastic, and many more qualified than me have commented on its very high quality. Mark was also fantastic to work with: he was responsive, adaptable and really constructive. He was keen to ensure that he met our needs and priorities, but he also steered us when he thought we were about to make a mistake - and he was always right! He has been constantly keen to ensure that our expectations have been met (and exceeded), and he has remained in touch to ensure - with the project now complete - that everything is working as it should. He worked really constructively with our architects and our main contractors, making the entire process surprisingly (!) straightforward for us as clients. And, compared with what we have seen elsewhere, he priced all of his work very competitively as well. In short, we have been absolutely delighted with the work that Mark has done, and we are so grateful that we made the decision to go with him for this project. We cannot recommend him highly enough. Our kitchen design had some unique challenges which were difficult to accommodate with a standard modular kitchen but the budget did not stretch to a fully bespoke product. Mark and his team built wardrobes and a bed head for me recently in my main bedroom and they did an amazing job. Mark completely understood the scandi style we were going for and interpreted it in a really beautiful way. He was really easy to communicate with - responsive and took all my suggestions on board but also made really great challenges and many ideas of his own. The quality of finish is just beautiful - I’ve seen other similar hit+miss style being used but close up it doesn’t look as good as what Mark has created. He also added little thoughtful extras that we hadn’t considered - such as much nicer quality hanging rails and little valet hooks for our outfits of the day. We are so pleased with the wardrobes and even though the rest of the house needs work, the bedroom feels like a nice sanctuary now. Everything was done on time and exactly as Mark had quoted. We also got to your Mark’s workshop to see the wardrobe being made, which was so lovely. It was just wonderful to see the enthusiasm and love that he and his team have for their work!

Mark and his team were fantastic to work with on our kitchen project. When we engaged with Mark he understood the brief straight away and quickly came up with a design we loved. We then had regular check-ins and the final product the kitchen took our breath away and was better than we ever could have imagined. Their workmanship was outstanding and every last detail was thought about and cared for. We have since commissioned other built-in furniture for our home and couldn't recommend Mark and his team more highly.

We engaged Mark @ Square One to design and install our kitchen as part of a large renovation project. Originally we were going to use a high street kitchen company, but having seen up close some of Sq 1's previous work, it was clear they bought a level of workmanship, quality and design creativity to the table that changed our minds. From the outset, Mark and the team were a pleasure to work with and the design suggestions and guiding hand he provided were welcomed. The kitchen was project was delivered as agreed (on time and on budget) and it looks utterly fabulous! From the beautiful dovetailed joints to the cleverly designed sensor light when opening the breakfast cupboard, every single detail has been considered and made with a stunning level of craftsmanship. Simply put, there's not a single detail I would want to improve! Highly, highly recommended.
