So building work is fraught with fear, worry, anxiety and stress, but from the get go Plus Rooms impressed us by being able to calm our nerves. From the initial visual plans in our first meeting, to comprehensive schedules, detailed kick off meetings and weekly site visits. The building team became like Rockstars in the house and were amazing with our young kids, as we decided to live in when doing it. Did we have problems we had to overcome, of course, what build doesn't - but it felt like a true partnership and they were always quick to respond. We also finished bang on time. Plus Rooms were slightly more expensive than others, but because they could give us such clarity from the get go and would project manage the whole thing, that's why we went with them and i'm glad we did.

A neighbour recommended Plus Rooms as I wanted a side return kitchen extension with large doors into the garden and a downstairs toilet fitted. I have been ripped off by builders in the past, so wanted to use a trusted company with a project manager to oversee the whole thing. I liked the Plus Rooms representatives right from the start, and always felt my hand was held. I had regular site meetings with my project manager who was very helpful, and the various teams of builders were excellent and extremely hardworking, even when it snowed! I am so delighted with the finished kitchen and it is beautifully finished. Everyone who has seen it are blown away. I cannot recommend Plus Rooms enough for their professionalism, hard work, friendliness and expertise.

Excellent service throughout - I highly recommend Plusrooms and wouldn't hesitate to use them again. Three things really stand out compared to other firms we've used in the passed: Firstly, they know the work extremely well - they focus on extensions and conversions of London property and they clearly had extensive experience doing jobs exactly like ours (side-return on a victorian mid-terrace). They had seen it all before an knew exactly what to expect. Secondly, they really understand their clients. Major building works can be incredibly stressfull, particularly when juggling jobs and kids etc etc. Plusrooms really understand this and our project manager (Scott) was exceptional. Thirdly, their workmanship is top-quality (plenty of photos online that show this). I highly recommend them and would definitely use them again.

We hired Plus Rooms for our kitchen extension and a partial garage conversion and they were excellent. We were very keen not to have to do much project management as we had a second baby on the way and they took charge of everything. Communication and timelines were clear and organised and we had weekly site meetings with our project manager, who was brilliantly helpful, and the project stayed on track and was completed as scheduled. A first! We were particularly impressed with how they dealt with the odd inevitable issue that comes up in any building project - we felt well looked after. The contractors were friendly and efficient and the quality of work was very good. Aftercare has been great, too. We'd definitely recommend them if it's a design and build service you're after. Lovely team, great all-in-one service.

We found Plusrooms to be a delight from the beginning of our project right to the end… We felt listen to and encouraged with our thoughts on a space that we felt a bit stuck with… It was important to us that we had clarity and professionalism from the off and they really hold that as a company… The build was as smooth as we could’ve imagined and the care that went into the finished space of ours is there for all to see… I couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

As build novices the prospect of doing a side return extension was a daunting one however choosing Plus Rooms was no doubt the best decision we could make. Their model and process took a lot of stress off our shoulders and limited the fear of rising costs. We found the team to be helpful, professional and very responsive despite our MANY questions. It was a great experience dealing with Plus Rooms throughout the building works (three metre extension rear extension, downstairs re-model, plus utility room cupboard build and downstairs toilet move). From our first meeting in which Plus Rooms came up with new ideas re the plan that we had not thought of, to dealing with an issue that efficiently and speedily, managing the project throughout very professionally but also in a friendly way, sticking to agreed expenditure agreed at start in the contract but outlining any other potential costs that could arise re further options that we may choose to select. The building team on site were really good, professional, polite, tidy, and were a pleasure to deal with and great with our daughter and young son who both loved seeing them. Overall, a hugely positive experience, and I highly recommended Plus Rooms.

We wanted to have an extension built without having to project manage the builders in any way. Found Plus Rooms advert in a local magazine, and checked some reviews before going ahead. If you want a company with a "Can do" attitude I can confidently recommend them - unexpected problems always occur during building, but it's the willingness to sort them out which marks out the cowboys from the professionals, and the whole team was professional from start to finish. Our least stressful building project ever, from initial meeting, planning, building to completion.

Plus Rooms completed a kitchen extension for us. We were really impressed with them in every way. We had a few quotes before starting and Plus Rooms were not the lowest, but we went with them as a few friends in the area had also used them and spoke highly. I'm glad we did, you get what you pay for. They were friendly, hardworking, conscientious and did a brilliant job. It was possible to continue living in the house thanks to the temporary kitchen they set up. They were communicative and helpful when a few minor issues came up but these were all resolved really well. The finished build is fantastic and we are very happy with the new space. Plus Rooms was recommended to us by a friend and we are very happy they did. We did both our extension and our loft with Plus Rooms and found their workmanship to be excellent quality, their site managers professional and informative and the general experience incredibly smooth considering the work that was being undertaken. We would use them again without hesitation.

After doing a great deal of research in the area we decided to entrust the the project of extending the kitchen or our Victoria house in South London to Plus Room. The design team guided us on the fist phase of the project and plans were drawn and approved shortly after. The project manager was super helpful and followed the project attentively, giving attention to finishing details. He even come to the site after hours on the odd occasion in which we needed help locking up the site. The build team was very agreeable and good at communicating with the kitchen fitters (we used Dulwich Design Kitchens). They also helped us to transfer our wood burner stove to the front room area -this meant opening the chimeny breast Slightly to fit the stove. Finally, the finishing team, did a fabulous work with decoration and fitting the split brick and tiles. They interpreted our proposals well and worked late when necessary to finish the project by the agreed date. The plumber managed to move all of the necessary pipes to fit underfloor heating in the kitchen area (this has helped us to save a lot in energy as well as to enjoy a nice and warm room). The plumber also helped us to fix the drainage of the upstairs bathrooms, he also moved the radiators to a different location and fitted a tap in the front of the house -used for watering plants in hot summer months. The electrician and his team was also very good. The same goes for other companies recomended by them such as the door and skylight company. Embarking in this project felt a little bit scary to start with but it is one of the best things we have done for our home. We now spend most of our time in this new shared family area and enjoy the light and sense of space.

Plus Rooms completed a side return kitchen extension for us. It is very much their 'bread and butter' and they know exactly what they're doing. The building team and electrician were great. Very professional and friendly. We had full confidence in the main builder. The build was completed on time and mostly to budget. We did encounter some bumps along the way, but Plus Rooms maintained full communication and offered options to keep the build moving forward. The only weak points were a change to the original quote after the soil survey and the plumbing team, who just weren't as reliable as the rest of the people involved. We used the additional finishing services, which although very expensive, did mean the whole project was finished quickly and to a high standard. Our friends recommended Plus Rooms to us and we have since recommended them to friends (who have used them). They just know what they're doing.

I can highly recommend Plus Rooms. They know their profession and take a significant amount of the burden of concluding a house extension / renovation on their shoulders. They delivered our project on time and to a high standard. There is a lot of choice when it comes to who you entrust with your project but it is not always the case that you recommend your chosen partner to others, in this case I have no hesitation in confirming that you will not be disappointed by selecting Plus Rooms.

We chose Plus Rooms to build a one storey kitchen extension inc. utility/wc. From the first meeting to the end of the project they were very professional and gave us the confidence that the build was being done well. All of the people involved in the build were friendly, reliable and easy to have around the house. They did their best to minimise the disruption to us as a family (we continued living in the property) and we were extremely impressed with the temporary kitchen they set up for us. The project was completed ahead of schedule and we couldn't be more pleased with the results.

From start to finish they are entirely professional, provide genuine advice at points of decision making and they are most considered on the details. We used plus rooms to entirely reconfigure and extend our ground floor. We went for a side return and extended just one metre and it has entirely transformed the way we live. The build itself was entirely to time and they were able to accommodate us in making the decision to have a wet underfloor heating (do it) when it wasn’t really the plan. They also found a neat way of actually getting a skylight in when the engineering made in a little tricky. The works occurred over Christmas so the site closed for two weeks then, but everything was secured and thankfully it wasn’t too cold. We stayed during the renovation and they were so careful in cleaning up and kind to our young kids. The fit took longer but the finish is excellent.

We first used Plusrooms for a kitchen extension in 2018 with a view to a loft extension afterwards. Then Covid hit... We absolutely love our kitchen extension and were so glad it had been finished before the pandemic. We were so pleased with the result that we have just had a loft conversion done building a bedroom, bathroom and study. The company were great. Excellent communication throughout, build finished within the time frame, building team flexible to add jobs on (such as a completely new roof!) when the unexpected came up. The associated electrician, plumber and finishing team were also excellent giving advice where needed. We have to especially thank our project co-ordinator, who worked with us on both projects and was constantly in touch and available to discuss all aspects of the build and finishing especially if when had any concerns or needed things addressed.

We bought a do-er upper house and went about renovating with a wraparound extension. Whilst Plus Rooms were doing the extension we also changed the layout inside the house to create a boot room, utility room and downstairs loo under the stairs. Plus Rooms were great at managing these additional bits, and as we don’t have much experience in projects like this our coordinator was brilliant at explaining the process and giving us tips. They were really considerate of our neighbours and tidied up every day – and we were working at home during the renovations and they were considerate of us being in the house as well. Would definitely recommend!

What a project! Deciding on major building work at your home is a difficult and a trusting journey. We met James at Plusrooms who was very professional, curteous and inspiring. Plusrooms are modern thinkers and offer affordable solutions. There were some challenges to overcome, we had faith in the decisions that were made. PlusRooms were great. The in house team which deals with all the pre-building and planning work are lovely and very responsive to our queries, and problem-solved some tricky issues related to our site. And the builders, electrician, plumber and finishers were very expert, hard working and of a high standard. Having a fixed price agreed in advance and a project manager overseeing every detail hugely reduced the stress of a project with so many strands and tradesmen – particularly as we stayed there during the works. Several visitors with experience of building have since commented on the quality of the finish, and items such as the glazing. We’d highly recommend PlusRooms.

We had a great experience with Plus Rooms. We chose them because our project was a standard kitchen extension that didn't need any specialist design - their promise to Design. Plan. Build was exactly what we needed. From the start, we were impressed that someone came to the house to discuss the project (everyone else quoted over the phone). The build team were brilliant and really pulled out the stops, working over Christmas to get the job done. And we're delighted with the final finish - it's exactly what we'd hoped for! Throughout the project, Plus Room's project managers kept in constant contact and were super responsive and proactive when we hit the inevitable road bumps along the way. Plus Rooms created a comfort zone for two extremely nervous homeowners renovating for the first time. At every phase of our recent large-scale project -- loft and ground-floor extension with complete rehaul of plumbing and electrics and refurbishment of several additional rooms -- the team's expertise, experience and empathy shone through. We especially appreciated Plus Room's 1) responsiveness and communicativeness, which extended to meeting with our neighbours on several occasions when they had questions or concerns; 2) attention to detail, whether in carrying out planning permission or putting the final touches on the finishing work -- e.g., a solution for matching stair railings to maintain period features in our home; 3) deep experience in every phase of the project, which enabled the company to deal confidently and swiftly with challenges , including many difficulties created by the pandemic. Despite the Covid-induced supply-chain disruptions and labour shortages, Plus Rooms delivered the goods and contracted excellent, personable employees to complete our project within a reasonable time and budget. The company had been recommended by my co-worker, and it has been a surprise and, frankly, a relief, that any building company could live up to his unqualified endorsement; but with their high standards of workmanship and reliability, Plus Rooms has met and exceeded our expectations.

We decided to go with Plus Rooms to design, build & manage our entire house renovation, including 2 extensions (roof & side return) and a complete renovation (rewiring, replumbing, reconfiguration, re-plastering, new windows, etc) of the rest of the house. We had initially been recommended Plus Room by some friends - and when we met the team through the initial sales & quotation process, we were reassured they were the right company to work with. They had some great suggestions for how to maximise the space and their quotation process was thorough, transparent and clear. Plus Room’s management of the overall process was excellent – we always felt like we were in safe hands and whenever the project hit a hurdle the team were able to rapidly respond to ensure we didn’t lose much time. The build team themselves were great – reliable, dedicated & generally nice to have around – and the work has been done to an excellent standard. The project overall was broadly on time – which we considered a result given the scale of the project. Plus Room’s separate finishing team also did all of the redecoration, carpentry, kitchen installation etc. all of which has been done to a fabulous standard and with a huge attention to detail. Again, they were lovely people to work with. We would definitely work with Plus Rooms again if we were to undertake another project in the future – and would also highly recommend them to others looking to take on either an extension or renovation project.

We used Plusrooms last year to undertake our side return kitchen extension. We were very pleased with the quality of our finished project. We found it very useful to have a One Stop Shop that coordinated all aspects of the project from design and planning through to construction on site and the co-ordination of various trades. This is especially beneficial when unexpected issues arise on site ( as they inevitably will during projects of this nature). We also found the advice of the various trades, who have extensive experience of projects of this nature, very useful during the project. We made a number of changes during the project which were identified on site. Utilising Plus Rooms enabled us to retain this flexibility throughout the project. I would have no hesitation in recommending Plusrooms or using them again if we required further works.

I’ve just completed a wrap around extension with Plus Rooms and has a brilliant experience. The coordination of the build was seamless and we found having one group responsible for all of the work including electrics and plumbing, brilliant. Our building team had brilliant attention to detail and were also a pleasure to have in the house- especially as I was heavily pregnant and with a toddler. I would thoroughly recommend

Working from a shortlist of builders, we eventually chose to work with Plus Rooms. That turned out to be an inspired choice as they helped us get through the planning approval, design and structural calculations, party wall agreements and then building and finishing our dream "Wrap" extension and kitchen, utility and cloakroom. Their work has been first rate and helped a first timer through what is an extensive, complex and lengthy process. The result has been a whole new series of spaces and moving from a cluttered kitchen to a spacious and liveable space.

We used Plus Rooms in 2021 to carry out a side return of our Victorian terrace. We are really pleased with the results and now have a large modern kitchen which has changed the way we live in our home. The builders were polite, considerate and tidy and somebody was on site the majority of the time. The trades used by were top quality and well coordinated by Plus Rooms. The trades were also good as suggesting what would work best for the space through their practical experience. It was disappointing that the project overran but we were building at a difficult time following Brexit and the pandemic and the majority of delays were owing to difficulties in sourcing materials. There have inevitably been some snagging issues since we completed our works but the good thing about using a large company such as Plus Rooms is that you can get hold of somebody to carry out any remedial works required against the guarantee. On the whole, we would recommend them but we would suggest that you spend time fully discussing your requirements at the design stage and make sure that you get a handover meeting and plan in place if you don't use their finishing team.

We wanted to extend our kitchen by extending into the side return of our terraced house. A quick response to our initial contact to Plusrooms was followed by a helpful meeting to discuss our ideas. This meeting also helped in clarifying our thoughts and removing some ideas which would have been more expensive and less practicable. We were very happy with the overall idea of what we would have done. Plusrooms then took away the worry of dealing with planning permission and party wall issues. Before the project started we were happy we had a realistic timeline and budget, but were also made fully aware of the potential for disruption, additional cost and time needed, depending on what they found when they started. We were very happy with all the tradesmen and their teams employed by Plusrooms, and also the other firms they work with for doors and kitchens. They had good ideas for dealing with building issues, lighting layouts, how to do the underfloor heating and the finishing work, but did not impose them on us, and when snags occurred, as inevitably they will, the team dealt with them speedily and with good grace. They left the house as clean as they could at the end of each working day. Once the building work was completed the fitting team moved in and turned our space into a light, well finished room. Our house does not have straight walls or standard doors, and they advised us well and worked with this to produce really pleasing results. The weekly site meeting meant we were kept up to date with what was happening and knew what would happen next. When we found out that a floor which we had intended to keep would need to be replaced due to rotting joists, they came up with a plan and adjusted the timeline to deal with it. We used to have a dark and rather narrow kitchen, and we love our spacious new light kitchen/dining room. Having an extension done is never going to be fun (lots of London clay barrowed out through the hall!) but Plusrooms and their team made it as straightforward as it could be. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

We have recently had a kitchen side return installed by PlusRooms - see attached photos. The project design fully met our requirements and the works were undertaken within the agreed timescale. For health reasons we chose to live off site during the project, but the contractors communicated well and we only needed occasional site visits until the final kitchen fitting. We liked the professionalism of the work force and their attention to detail; this included reusing bricks from the original flank wall for the new wall and a glass valley in the new pitched roof to allow more light into the front lounge. We are very happy to recommend PlusRooms and their work.

Plus Rooms service was amazing - with a dedicated project manager for us to contact all our questions were answered promptly - or troubleshooted together which was great. Especially as we don't have that much building experience it was so helpful to have someone coordinate all tradesman and help explain things. We love our new space - it was pretty life changing and allowed us to make the most of our house. As well as the build, have also been pleased at the level of finishing - the decorating team were pretty patient with all my indecision on colours and tried to help us visualise where they could. Would definitely recommend Plus Rooms which whilst may be more expensive at times than individual tradesman, the peace of mind and final product quality made it worth it.

We are so pleased that we used Plus Rooms to do the renovation of our Victorian terraced house in the second half of 2021. The project involved doing our side return to make our kitchen bigger, extending to make a 'snug' at the back of the house, cleverly reconfiguring the middle room to make a utility and downstairs WC, moving a wall, refitting the upstairs bathroom, and redecorating throughout. Plus Rooms were professional and a pleasure to work with throughout. The project management was excellent, and communication was superb. The builders were just lovely people. They worked incredibly hard, were very clear about any decisions required and were so tidy and polite. It was a pleasure to have them around. The same was true of the Plus Rooms finishing team, who we used to do the decorating as it made the handover between teams really seamless. The other people who they coordinated (Integral Windows, the plumbers and electricians etc), were also all very professional and genuinely nice people. The finish is just lovely. The quality of the design and the skill of the people (tilers, painters, etc) really shows in the final result. Despite working through the pandemic, the project was only delayed by 2 weeks which we thought was amazing, and was completely finished for us the week before Christmas. It took only 5 months, which was hugely important to us, and was delivered to the budget they had given us at the beginning (including contingencies). Doing this kind of project (especially on a house with no side access!!) is definitely stressful and we really appreciated the speed at which they were able to deliver it, going above and beyond to manage the timings during the pandemic when materials were often difficult to procure. We know other people whose similar projects have taken almost a year, so to do so much in only 5 months, and to such a high standard, we feel was well worth the cost. We are very confident to recommend Plus Rooms.

We have used plus rooms twice now. One for a ground floor extension, the other for a loft. Both times they have delivered a professional outcome and have been great to work with over the delivery.

Plus Rooms managed the build of our ground floor extension and reconfiguration of the entire ground floor. They were very professional to work with, and we've been especially impressed with the quality of the build and the speed at which the work was carried out. In particular we were really pleased with how our team of builders only worked on our project until it was completed - they were there every day - which meant there was no wasted time. The only thing that could have been better, in my opinion, was that it would've been useful to have a direct discussion with the architect, rather than going through Plus Rooms. This would've been useful to discuss different options and to reduce the need for changes to be made to the plans. However, aside from that small niggle with the design element, we're really pleased with how our build went and I have no hesitation in recommending Plus Rooms.

We were well looked after by our project manager, and found the build and finishing teams to be really open and communicative - always happy to answer our questions, explain their approach and check we were happy with things before they were finalised. The sub-contractors ( eg window suppliers) were also of a really high standard and worked hard to ensure things were perfect. Plusrooms worked on our loft conversion and were a pleasure to work with. The team worked with us to create the initial plans and drawings and then helped us navigate the necessary consents (party wall), making the process straightforward. The actual build was well managed – the build team were careful, tidy and knowledgeable. The project manager ensured the various tradespersons were there at the correct point in the process and everything ran very smoothly. Unlike other building companies we have worked with, there were people working on site very day. We had some considerable scope creep – items that were not included in the initial scope – which resulted in the cost of the project being greater than we had expected. Plusrooms were explicit on what was included – it was our inexperience that meant we didn’t anticipate those. We are extremely pleased with the finished result of our project, the space looks fantastic and has transformed our home. We have recommended Plusrooms to friends who are planning to do projects.

Plusrooms are a fantastic building firm. Imagine everything you dread and fear about allowing builders into your home and Plusrooms are the complete opposite. The team I dealt with were professional, hardworking and extremely respectful. From the start of the initial consultation, the Plusrooms team took my project under their wing and I felt a genuine feeling that they valued me as their client. I was told the building work itself would take 9 weeks, and it was finished in 9 weeks to the day. I absolutely love my kitchen extension and could not have hoped to deal with a better team from project manager to labourer, every single member of the team was fantastic. I have no hesitation in recommending this firm.

Were we crazy to start a building project in Lockdown 2 and finish in Lockdown 3? No we weren't, as we had a fabulous experience with Plus Rooms. An extremely professional company with delightful employees who helped us every step of the way to build our kitchen side return extension, plus study. They worked within the budget, finished on time and never seemed phased by any problems that arose. Any problems were all addressed with a 'can do' attitude and we all had great fun working on the project - despite living on site throughout. We are thrilled with the result and have already recommended them to friends, who started their new kitchen project in September.

Plus Rooms undertook quite a large double height extension for us in 2020 (August - December). Overall we are delighted with the result - it has changed the way we live in the house and now spend much more time together as a family. What particularly impressed us was out of all the quotes we received for the job, Plus Rooms was by far the most comprehensive and clearly enabled us to know what it was going to cost - no nasty surprises sprung on us during the build and everything came in on price and as expected. On top of that the quote was highly competitive. The build process went relatively smoothly for a job of this size - things will always come up but they were always quickly resolved. Our Project Coordinator was great and the building team were FAST! Completed in 14 weeks rather than the 18 weeks in the schedule. And when you were living in the building site during lock down and home working, this was a huge benefit. Each of the trade suppliers used by Plus Rooms were of high quality, reliable, friendly and polite. To cap it all off the peace of mind by having a guarantee for the work is the icing on the cake. We have had a couple of minor snagging items as you'd expect and these have been quickly resolved which demonstrates that it's not all empty words. So the key question - would I use them again. The answer is a resounding 'yes' which probably tells you all you need to know. I have already recommended them to several of our friends in the area.

We are so happy with our new space! Strongly recommend Plusrooms to all. The initial project proposal were clearly costed and detailed, with a better project management offer than other companies we researched. Planning permission took longer than expected and the start was pushed back, but this meant we avoided the worst of the winter weather during construction. The build was an incredible transformation, we had to live in the upper floors of the property throughout as we were in lockdown, but the team on site were friendly and polite. The project managers were very knowledgeable, responsive to issues that cropped up, and realistic with our expectations. Coordination with Braverman for the new kitchen, and Integral for new glass sliding doors and skylights was excellent. The final finish work was delayed over the Summer, but we're so happy that all is now done.

Overall we are really happy with the outcome of the build- the project ran on time, to budget and the quality of the build and the finishing is excellent. Plus Rooms carried out a side and rear extension to our Victorian end of terrace, with a reconfiguration on the ground floor to create a downstairs WC. The whole process from start to finish was managed smoothly and professionally and the team delivered the project to the highest standard. I find the company to be well organised and good at communication, and the builders and the trades people they use are reliable, friendly and extremely hard working. We faced numerous minor and not so minor stumbling blocks along the way, but the project coordinator and the foreman always came up with solutions and sorted out the issues with ease and unquenchable positive energy. Towards the end, the pace of response and action slowed down but I understand that Covid had a lot to answer for, and overall, we are overjoyed with our fabulous new kitchen extension.

We initially commissioned PlusRooms to build a side return extension and loft conversion. Given the quality of service and workmanship, the project soon expanded and became a refurbishment of the entire house. The project kicked off in the week of the first lockdown so we inevitably came across some hurdles, including a 5 weeks pause. However PlusRooms were proactive; they communicated a clear plan, articulated the impact of the delay (which they quickly made up when back on site) and implemented stringent health and safety mitigations. I worked with Plusrooms on my house refurbishment. It included a kitchen extension, building a new garden studio, and interior redecoration. Although the project time was longer than I expected, I was generally pleasant about the services Plusrooms provided. Some highlights: - They proactively think in your shoes. The house I got was a pretty aged one and the layout was very traditional. They have suggested a modern restructure which I'm really satisfied with now. During the project, they also helped me fix some old legacy issues with the house. - Neighbour friendly. One of the big concerns was how the construction work would impact my neighbours, as it's a terraced house. The feedbacks from my neighbours were very positive. Unfortunately, when you work on such a big project, you will have more or less disruptions to your neighbours, but Plusrooms were handled all of them pretty well. - Responsiveness. You need to have lots of conversations/communications with your builder when working the construction. I'm happy that Plusrooms was very responsive. Usually my questions were answered in a day or two. They also promptly notify you about any issues they discovered (there are always unexpected things happening), and propose some solutions. - Good suppliers. They use a range of good suppliers to supply the materials, designs, and appliances. As they always work together, you only need to choose what you want and they will take care of the collaboration between themselves.

We used Plus Rooms to design, plan and manage a side-return extension on our Victorian property in South-East London. From the offset, the team were helpful and trustworthy. They helped us transform a small and narrow space into a spacious and bright family kitchen-diner which has literally changed our lives! Plusrooms were recommended to me, and from the first meeting on I felt confident about the team. I’m sure I wouldn’t have had time myself to manage that so pleased to have had the input. Plus Rooms built our kitchen extension for us. They provided a first class service throughout, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. They had excellent design ideas and although we used their architects rather than our own, they were willing to incorporate all our design ideas (some of which were quite complicated), so we got exactly the design we wanted. The build itself was carried out very efficiently. But the stand out feature for us was the customer service – not only was everything managed and coordinated extremely well, they went out of their way to make sure that we were happy with everything and any small snags were dealt with extremely quickly. I’ve had trouble persuading builders to return to site on previous projects, but the project coordinator made sure that we were happy with absolutely everything before signing off on the project.

Before engaging Plus Rooms, we received quotes from other similar firms and whilst they were not the cheapest, it was their professionalism, strong reputation and track record that made us select them over the competition. We used PlusRooms on recommendation of a friend and after looking through various other companies for our kitchen extension. We realised that we were probably paying more for the complete package but in the end think this was actually very good value as we were guided through the process from very early on and all the separate teams integrate really well. As with the other reviews we really valued having a single Project Co-ordinator as point of access. We were lucky enough to have Richard for whom nothing was too much trouble and was always responsive to emails and available for calls. The overall level of professionalism and attention to detail, from most of the individual teams, but particularly in our case the builders, was by far the best experience we have had with any tradespeople. They were very respectful to us, the house and our neighbours and always left the rest of the house as clean as possible at the end of each day. This really contributed to making the whole project about as stress free as I can imagine it could be (and that is saying a lot considering our project was halted in April due to the lockdown). I would have no hesitation in recommending them, and have already done so to several friends.

Plus Rooms completed our large kitchen and ground floor remodeling in Autumn 2019. On the whole we are very happy with the results. They were considerate builders, who made sure that the initially reluctant neighbours were on board. They worked quickly and efficiently and were always happy to listen to our concerns as the project unfolded. The reason Plus Rooms got the job is that they were willing to come up with fresh ideas that utilised our space to it's maximum, rather than just give us what we had asked for. We did have some issues with the window company that Plus Rooms offered us, as they couldn't provide the size / style of the rear windows we wanted but this was resolved with another supplier coming on board. Also the positioning of the RSJs became a problem during the build and we wish we had more detailed conversations before the build started that would have avoided this. The finishing and snags took longer than expected but that said, we are very happy with the results and would recommend the Plus Rooms team.

From the initial design discussion to the project close meeting, my interactions with the team have been excellent. We are very happy with our rear extension that was done. Quality of work and the project manager's input to little touches was really important. Yes they are not the cheapest and I used my own builder for the finishing but the quality of work has been really good.

We used Plus Rooms for our kitchen extension over the summer and are so pleased with the finished result. The planning and build processes were faultless - the teams kept to time and budget, and it was all well co-ordinated. We lived in the house during the build with young children and they were very respectful of this. We did have some delays with the finishing team, which was the only slightly negative part of the experience, but I believe Plus Rooms have now made changes to how this is managed. Overall we would have no hesitation to recommend Plus Rooms.

While plusrooms delivered on the build of the extension on time, I felt deceived by their promise of finishing the project on time. I explicitly asked at the beginning if they will finish on time and they said of course, almost always...however, what they failed to mention was the finishing team takes forever! They also overpromise on finishing time and have under delivered many times. I have some very upset neighbors right now. Feedback is to ensure project manager role needs to extend to finishing team and ensure they meet deadlines end to end! All in all, I’m moderately satisfied to annoyingly upset. I also never write reviews but I want to make sure people know what they are getting themselves into!

I chose PlusRooms because of the end result I saw in several of their projects. The whole process was easy from start to finish. We lived in the house while the kitchen extension was being done and the builders were good at working around us. They plumbed in a sink, washing machine and tumble dryer for the entire time and we survived with an electric hob, microwave and slow cooker! The builders worked hard everyday and were great at knowing what to do with anything unexpected (we had a major drain just where the extension was going to be built). All the work was completed to a high standard. I loved the fact that PlusRooms co-ordinated the plumbing, electrician, kitchen, glazing company and finishing team. They have quickly come back to sort out any snagging problems at the end of the project. We love the end result and will be using them for our loft extension in the near future.

I am delighted with the kitchen extension done by Plus Rooms. I had never done serious building work before, on a tight budget and felt out of my depth. The service provided by Plus Rooms was absolutely spot-on - the Project Manager explained everything clearly, he thought around problems and even charmed some difficult neighbours. The quotation covered and costed all contingencies, and even though the house threw up some surprises along the way, it came in on budget. The build team were just superb, intelligent, experienced and took real pride in their work. Sadly, there were some issues with the finishing team, and at this stage, there were unnecessary delays and mistakes. Plus Rooms stepped in to manage this part of the project despite it not being in the contract, and have been very responsive to my feedback. We used PlusRooms for a side return extension last year and would like to summarise our thoughts. We actually found them here on Houzz. Firstly we’d like to say that in our experience, no project of this nature comes without an element of the unexpected. Things go wrong and things go right - the real measure comes with hindsight after it’s all finished and you get to see what day to day life is like once the space has been transformed. So I write this having given a year to evaluate the overall quality of Plusrooms’ work at our place. We are very happy. The design phase was enjoyable and matched the end result wonderfully. The planning and party wall aspect ran smoothly (not a given!). The builder was efficient and did a fantastic job matching the old brick with the new, which makes such a difference at the end. Any extras that occurred due to surprises were explained concisely and sympathetically (the old waste pipe had to be repaired and foundations dug where there were none). There were definite issues along the way including some sub contractors who behaved incredibly poorly but that is where one of the real advantages of working with a firm like PlusRooms makes itself known. We were always protected, insulated from situations where sub contractors workmanship or demeanour fell below par. It can and will happen but having the PlusRooms project manager there when we hit a rough patch was a tremendous relief. They listened and made sure our concerns were heeded every time. However Plus Room's project manager took all the stress associated with building work away. The build was on time and on budget. We felt well informed through every stage of the project. Plus Rooms team set a temporary kitchen in our living room, so we managed to live in during the work with 2 small children. The building team was exceptionally good, very tidy, professional and the quality of the work is to a very high standard. I had dreamed about extending my ground floor flat for over 10 years - what Plusrooms delivered exceeded my dreams! I had the entire back section of my flat rebuilt involving a new kitchen, hallway and bathroom which meant i had to move out. The build was delivered on time and to budget. The finishing took a little longer then expected but i was still in by Christmas and the end result in the words of my friends is 'Wow, just wow!' After hearing some truly horrendous stories about friends extensions I was understandably nervous about embarking on this project. But the various tradesmen who were used on the build were all extremely considerate of both me and the budget and I felt truly cared especially by my project manager - if you want an extension I highly recommend these guys.

We wanted to get an extension done on our mid-terrace 1930s house, and had noticed a Plus Rooms branded car visiting a neighbouring home. When we asked for a quote, we were promptly visited, and the representative went over his ideas for our new space. He was very intuitive, and knew exactly what we wanted, quickly generating a realistic mock-up. After getting quotes back from various companies, Plus Rooms were not the cheapest. We were worried at first that they would be outside of our budget. However, on closer inspection, the quote contained much more detail than any of the other companies' quotes, and included many things not included in other quotes, things that certainly would need to be there. We contracted Plus Rooms to do the work, and they began the planning stage. As this was a 4 Meter permitted development, we had to go through planning. Plus rooms were brilliant, especially as they had to do several re-designs in order to appease the council (who had been misled by our rather difficult neighbours). The final design was approved on second submission, and works commenced in May. The foreman was professional and incredibly quick. The removal of the existing structure was done on the first week, and there was a structure up within about three weeks. They checked with us at every stage to ensure that things were exactly as we wanted them. The plumbers and electricians were all very professional, and installed everything as required, even working around difficult chicken and egg issues about what needed to be done first. The finishing team were recommended by Plus Rooms, and not directly employed. They worked quickly, and finished everything nicely, there were a few communication issues with this team, but everything got completed in the end. I would happily recommend Plus Rooms to anyone. We love our new extension, and the improvement to our standard of living that it has provided.

We hired Plus Rooms to do a side return extension, which included relocating a downstairs toilet and creating a utility room, as well as creating a big kitchen living space with bifold doors. It was a very smooth process for a building project, from start to finish. They kept to the 12 week schedule as they had planned within the schedule for any unforeseen issues that could arise. The costs were very clearly laid out, including areas where price could increase and why, to minimise any surprises for their clients which is extremely important. You would be very naive to not expect issues during a big build project, but Why I recommend Plus rooms is they are interested in working with you not against you to solve things, they are all about looking for solutions that leave you the customer happy. The building team we had was excellent they were tidy and it never felt like living on a building site even though we had sooo many different trades people on site during this time. Our project manager was excellent at answering the phone and helping us through this project, coming on site whenever necessary this is very important to any build project. I was not impressed with one of their trades people, and plus room were very professional and attentive to our concerns dealing with this. The snagging and finishing takes a little longer but worth it. I am very pleased with my new extension and would not hesitate to highly recommend Plus Rooms to anyone, we looked at 3 other companies and they were the only one we considered! Plus Rooms recently completed an utterly fabulous kitchen extension for us. We took them on after a recommendation from a friend and they certainly lived up to our high expectations. Admittedly we initially thought we may be spending some unnecessary pounds by not managing the project ourselves, but we soon came to realise that this would not be the case. Firstly, as two full time professionals, we would never have found the time to micro-manage the project half as well as their ever present project managers did, and secondly, using their contacts and expertise actually saved us money. Thanks to their attentiveness and focus on tidying up at the end of each day, living through the works was certainly not as bad as we had feared, especially given one of us was eventually 9 months pregnant! Not renting elsewhere saved us considerable expense - which ultimately could be spent on the kitchen. So in summary a super company that I would wholeheartedly recommend to others. And perhaps the best bit about it...they did the unheard of...they finished the job ahead of schedule!!!

You are given a timeline of the works and you are given realistic upfront costs for the work. Our project was completed on time, on budget and we were always able to contact our project manager if we had any questions. The building team were professional, courteous and left the site in a tidy fashion at the end of each day. I would have no hesitation in recommending Plus Rooms.

We used Plus Rooms to build a kitchen side return extension and we are extremely pleased with the results. What attracted us initially was the very clear pricing structure we were provided with after the first meeting. This was detailed and transparent and allowed us to see exactly what the job would cost. Although the work started more than a year later, the price remained the same. We found other companies who came to quote were vague, giving broad price brackets for different areas of the work, not including VAT in their quotes or omitting large costs such as glazing. We had none of those issues with Plus Rooms. Plus Rooms managed the design, planning application, party wall and day-to-day project management of the build. The project manger visited regularly and was always quick to respond to calls or emails with questions. We lived in during the work but the building team were easy to have in the house. They worked around our family schedule and meticulously tidied up every day. We have have a very spacious kitchen, dining, living space with a new shower room, study area and cloakroom cupboard and we are delighted with the results. We have recently finished a kitchen extension with Plus Rooms. We had several quotes prior to appointing Plus Rooms and went with them as they seemed the most professional and gave us far more detail than any other company. What we especially liked was the full list of contingencies that were presented before work commenced. Unfortunately we did hit a lot of these, largely due to the age of our property, but there were no nasty surprises about which we had not been forewarned We'd had a loft conversion at the same propery 18 months prior to the kithcen. Having had a pretty poor experience with the loft build what we also liked was the fact that Plus Rooms were hot on communication. Our emails and calls were answered swiftly by either our PM or the head builder. Work was also signed off on a weekly basis which meant that time scales and detail were kept as planned - despite us adding in a few more jobs. The electricians and plumbers were also excellent. Plus Rooms electrician actually had to redo a lot of work carried out by Wren kitchens (our advice is do not use Wren kitchens — but that’s a whole other story!) Overall the project had a few bumps along the way which were not unexpected but everything was addressed swiftly and professionally and we are very happy with the end result. We would recommend Plus Rooms.

I love my kitchen extension - the quality of the finish and the design is superb!! The team at Plus Rooms were really helpful throughout the planning and build process. Their ideas helped improve the overall appearance of the extension, especially the roof design. Each of the teams from the builders to the finishers were polite, focussed and very skilled. Nothing was too much trouble, despite my changing requirements or forgetfulness when it came to ordering the bathroom... Overall the experience was more stress free than I would have imagined. The kitchen extension has had a huge impact on our family life (more relaxed and harmonious), and the Plus Rooms team professionalism and quality of work was a critical factor in the final product.

Our project was to open up and extend the back of our house to make a spacious kitchen and living area and add a ground floor cloakroom. We asked three companies to quote for our project, we chose companies that were working locally and looked suitable for our project. Plus Rooms responded to our request for a meeting quickly and the Sales Director was pleased to meet us on a Sunday morning at a mutually convenient time. Plus Rooms were the first company we met and the Sales Director was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. He suggested putting the wall back between the lounge and dining room and putting our new kitchen against the new wall; something we had not thought of. This was a great idea and gave us a large open plan living area with a view through from the front door to the garden and a separate lounge to the front of the house. We were sent a very detailed quote with prices and pictures for all options and a plan of what would happen each week and a schedule of when payments would be due. Plus Rooms quote was middle price of the three we received but it was the most detailed and we felt they would provide the best service. Before we finally accepted we visited a house where they had completed a similar project and were impressed with the work they had done. We were assigned a Manager and Project Coordinator who would deal with our project from the planning until the end. The Manager arranged the architect plans; planning consent and party wall agreements and he was our contact until the work started when we were handed over to the Project Coordinator. The Manager was great to start with but there was a two week period before our work started when he did not respond to emails or return calls; the only negative we have with Plus Rooms. We met the Project Coordinator and Building Foreman the week before the work started and they went through all the plans in detail and explained what would happen each week; this was a good meeting and we felt confident with the team. The Coordinator visited site each week and would email us a progress report and sign off when we needed to make the required payments and to whom. Some payments are made to Plus Rooms and some direct to the builder or other contractors. The standard of building work was very good and we had the same builders throughout; but it was difficult to communicate with the builders as they did not speak much English and the Foreman was never there first thing in the morning before we left for work. There were occasions when we needed small issues resolved and we normally had to contact the Foreman twice. We were provided with a temporary kitchen that had hot/cold running water and they even plumbed in the washing machine that was great. The work progressed as planned and the coordinator / foreman met with us when required to discuss options as the work went on. Plus Rooms plumber and electrician were both great and we were pleased with their work; they both gave us useful ideas through past experiences. We used the Plus Rooms finishing team who completed the decorating; carpentry; tiling and built the patio in the garden. The standard of work was good but it took a bit longer than we had anticipated. The Project Coordinator does not over see the finishing team so you have to arrange the final fix for the plumber; electrician and finishing team yourself. We used the suggested kitchen company; Braverman and the AV Company who were both ideal for our requirements giving us ideas and different options for us to choose from. We would recommend Plus Rooms to anyone who is considering a similar project. The whole project took 9 weeks for the building and then an additional 5 weeks for finishing and fitting the kitchen.

We used Plus Rooms for a kitchen extension and have them booked for a loft extension. From the outset the team from Plus Rooms have been exceptional. James Bernard is exceptionally talented at creating a family space in a relatively tight victorian property. His attention to detail and use of space exceeding all expectations. The coordination of the build was excellent. There will always be issues to deal with and the project management team from Plus Rooms delivered, addressing any problems quickly and effectively. We used all of their teams - kitchen, plumbers, finishers etc. - and delighted we did so. Most importantly - and pretty unusual for such a build - is that the budget and timescales were spot on. I couldn't recommend the team higher.

Extremely satisfied with all aspects of building project : inspiring design consultation; clear quotation and tight cost control; frequent communication with project co-ordinator who managed all the hassle of planning applications and building regulations as well as ensuring a high degree of quality control throughout the build; the hardest working team of builders (all the neighbours commented on their painstaking commitment and long hours!) led by an extremely experienced head builder who cared about what we wanted to achieve. They completed a large side extension 4 weeks earlier than planned. The surprisingly few niggles were quickly resolved. Interior finishing, including heating, lighting and final decorating were all completed to a high standard and on budget. We absolutely love our new space and are very grateful to the professionalism of the people at Plus Rooms.

I worked with the same Project Manager throughout, who was considerate and responsive. All the tradesmen on the site were skilled at their respective jobs and well-mannered too. Despite living in during the six month project there were no cross words and the resulting kitchen extension is beautiful. I couldn't be happier!

Our extension was recently completed before Christmas to budget and we are very happy with the results and enjoying the space. Having never undertaken major building work before, I was impressed with the initial meeting with James where he provided computer images of the type of finished product I might expect. Plus Rooms did a rear extension and added a new patio to my one bed garden flat in Forest Hill in early 2016. They also put in bespoke shelving, under cabinet lighting and new tiles in the kitchen and new flooring throughout. My wife and I chose Plus Rooms to carry out a Side Return Kitchen Extension and remodel of our upstairs bedroom/bathroom of our Victorian semi in late 2015. We would highly recommend Plus Rooms for many reasons. We invited round several reputable builders based in South West London to discuss our project but only Plus Rooms were able to make our vision a reality. The other builders insisted on the easiest building solution for ‘them’ which didn’t give us the space we wanted or that all important ‘Wow Factor’. Plus Rooms were open to our ideas and made a number of excellent suggestions meaning the end result is beyond our expectations! The breakdown of the cost and the plan in the contract provided was very well set out with photos and a clear schedule of what the job entailed over the 3 months period. Having a strong and organised Project Manager was extremely well received. Not only was he communicative, approachable and professional at all times but he provided that all important link between us and the building team. We would never undertake a project of this scale in the future without a dedicated PM to oversee the progress of the work and push things along. Even when we were out of the country for 3 weeks on holiday, he sent us progress pictures every few days to update us on any obstacles that had presented themselves and quickly suggested work arounds. The builders were the hardest working we have ever seen and completed the whole project a week ahead of schedule. They were appreciative, sensitive and respectful of the fact that we were living in the house during the build especially with our two year old around. On completion of all the work, and once our kitchen etc was fully installed, the owner and PM paid us a visit to gain detailed feedback on each step of the project which allowed us to convey any final thoughts. In hindsight we should have asked for references from other customers on the finishing team we had as the quality was not quite to the standard of all the other tradesman involved. Overall Plus Rooms is a great building company and I will definitely look to use them again in the future.

The building team worked well with the electrician and plumber to complete the job. The project manager throughout the build dealt with any issues we had and made sure that the different trades arrived when needed. The job was completed on time and on budget. At the end of the works we had another meeting with our project manager and Robbie from Plus Rooms with the view of them collecting feedback on how we feel the project had gone and where they could improve. Overall, very impressive. We would recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

I was incredibly nervous about instructing a 'one size fits all' building company over a local builder, but our hands were tied due to timings. (I was heavily pregnant at time). I felt that I was going to be paying over the odds for this service but the cost was actually comparative. Couldn't be happier with the results. The level of finish is fantastic and we finished only a few weeks over schedule. The level of work ethic was superb. Each of the tradesman that were assigned to the job were fantastic. Only niggle was that they were juggling a number of projects at the same time so I had to stay on top of them to remind them of certain things, but this was minor. Overall, would recommend Plus Rooms to anyone. And have already.

A- for Plus Rooms, but we now have the best loft conversion on the street. Job: build a loft bedroom, en suite bathroom in a conservation area & remove chimney breast in spare room to convert to a larger guest double, renovate internal hallway & landings to a high decorative standard. Review: We chose Plus Rooms because we wanted the extra reassurance of using a specialist with a good reputation for quality & a customer care ethos that would deliver a good finish without too much stress. They didn't disappoint. As with all Victorian terrace loft conversions there are always a few challenges along the way, but all in all The Plus Rooms team were open to ideas or requests to make changes & ultimately proved to excel in finding solutions when problems arose. The project resource & communication whilst not perfect was of a very high standard & meant that the different trades involved were kept focused on the job and the next task. Word of advise; make sure you have a good idea of what you want to do with the internal space before the build starts & keep an eye on the detail throughout, so you can spot any oversights -there will always be something that get's missed. Overall I would recommend Plus Rooms, they are price competitive when you deconstruct the quote, and won't let you down.

Plus rooms completed a full house refurbishment for me including a kitchen and loft extension. They managed the design and getting the plan's approved brilliantly. We did have some timing and price issues at the beginning of the job but I guess on such a big job it's to be expected. Josef the builder who built the loft and kitchen extension was brilliant and finished all of the build before the time allowed on the schedule which was great.

Plus Rooms have just finished a single story Kitchen extension for us in South West London. They managed the design planning and build for us. Overall we are very pleased with the quality of the build and love our extension. The pricing was very fair and they got this right from the start. there were no hidden costs and the price did not increase unexpectedly which is important when budgeting. Vincent was very helpful managing the planning process. Furthermore Simon the electrician and Marek's finishing team were excellent. We would recommend Plus Rooms. The only difficulty was communication, but the senior team would resolve this when we spoke to them.

For anyone looking to extend their home rather than move I would recommend Plus Rooms. They have recently completed a side return and kitchen extension for us, along with some other internal works to our house. Their price was competitive, they completed the build on time and oversaw the project effectively. With any large project complications and the unforseen will arise, but they have been prompt and responsive in their handling of any issues we have had. If you are considering building an extension do ask them to quote for you.

Plus Rooms completed a full house refurbishment, kitchen extension and loft conversion for us to a high specification. We had an excellent experience. They worked creatively with us on the design phase which helped us crystallise our ideas. I believe the key to the success of the build phase was that we both took responsibility for our respective roles for this large project. We ensured we stayed on top of he project and made decisions when we had to allow the work to progress. The Plus Rooms team did what they said they would do when they said they would do it and effectively managed all of the additional features (cupboards, fitted wardrobes, complete re landscaping of the rear and front gardens etc) and change we wanted to add. The finishing team led by Alex were excellent. As with any build of this size and complexity there were a number of pressure points but these were worked through in a professional manner and resolved to all parties satisfaction. Post completion there have been one or two minor snagging problems and the Plus Rooms team have been very responsive and resolved these items very quickly. When we move house we will work with the team again.

Plus Rooms completed a loft extension for me with one bed and one bath. The work was completed to a high standard and they were great at managing the process for me while I was away during the build. Would highly recommend!

Plusrooms have just completed a hip to gable attic extension under PD and a side return extension on my Victorian end of terrace house. We started with another design and build company and had a very disappointing experience including a failed planning application as a result of poor / lacking design advice. Plusrooms have been a breath of fresh air from the start. James talked through what we wanted to do and within an hour had prepared a quotation for us and sat and discussed it with us. He was upfront on the costs right and although it was more than we had hoped, we were encouraged by his design ideas and the recommendation from another friend who had used him and decided to go ahead - which was the RIGHT decision! The end result is excellent, and except for unforeseen issues with nearby trees and our changes to the agreed specification, the costs did not escalate. All the trades that plusrooms use are knowledgeable and produce a high quality of finish with minimal fuss. They kept to time and communicated well throughout the build process. We would use them again.

Plus Rooms extended my kitchen, and built another room on top of an existing bedroom. They provided excellent advice on how the extensions could be designed. They were clear from the start about exactly what was involved, in the costs at every stage, and they listed possible additional unexpected costs. They took the project through planning, and allocated a project manager. The building team were highly skilled and professional. The work was completed early. The project manager dealt with every query, and worked diplomatically with the neighbours so that they were content. The final result is spectacular. I could not recommend them highly enough.

I used Plusrooms, continue to recommend them and would use them again. Not only were they my cheapest quote, they finished in 3 weeks instead of 6 weeks, made the process as easy as possible for someone who isn't used to a undo project and the after service has been exceptional. Their quotes are easy to understand with decent pictures and James is very helpful in making suggestions. I would definitely recommend Plusrooms for a stress free, high quality and professional job.

We have recently had a kitchen extension built to the rear of our Victorian terrace in SE24 by Plus Rooms. We are very happy with the work they undertook. It has been finished to a high standard. The workmen were conscientious and (reasonably) tidy but perhaps the best aspect of the job was the professional manner in which Plus Rooms project managed the whole process. When problems arose, as they inevitably do, the appointed project manager addressed them swiftly and to our satisfaction. All in all, I have no hesitation in recommending them.

We are so pleased we chose Plus Rooms to carry out our building project last year. We had our back of terrace extended to make a large kitchen / diner (incl erecting a wall to cut off a front lounge and adding a downstairs wc). From the word go, my husband and I felt comfortable dealing with the family run company. From the initial free no-obligation consultation right through to completion of the project, we never failed to be impressed. We have done various bits and pieces re flat/ house renovations in the past - but this was the biggest project undertaken so we wanted a reputable professional company with plenty of ideas but also with true and genuine interpersonal skills and respect which would make process as stress free as possible. We particularly loved - and needed - the role of a hands on project manager as we had no time ourselves to stay on top of each tiny job against the timing schedule etc. While not necessarily the cheapest (tho other quotes came close), Plus Rooms were incredibly thorough, creative, thoughtful and transparent re cost from the outset. Even the most minor of issues were discussed with patience and precision. We had a super relationship with the whole team - and in fact every one of their recommended suppliers (eg surveyor, kitchen company). Nothing was ever too big an ask, no one ever did the bare minimum. Instead we enjoyed open, easy, frank conversations so we never felt in the dark about things and there were never any nasty surprises - and the team bent over backwards to make things perfect. Ultimately we are thrilled with our truly 'wow' finish - it has changed the way our family live - a layout we owe to the (non pushy just v helpful) advice of Plus Rooms. To rave about builders/ their architects/ surveyors etc on a project this large while living there through a particularly cold and wet winter with two under 5s is saying something! A very good decision and we enjoyed the process a great deal.

We recently used Plus Rooms for a kitchen extension to a Victorian terraced house and can highly recommend them. Having a project manager with oversight of the process made a big difference, and the builders were very efficient and completed to plaster finish in 9 weeks against a planned schedule of 8 weeks (over the winter too, so we were impressed). The builders were polite (to us and our neighbours) and very tidy and there was no smoking or loud music on site. We lived through the works and expected it to be very disruptive but it was not as bad as we had expected. It helped having a false door put at the base of our staircase to protect against dust and cold. The quality of finish on the build has generally been excellent.

We have just completed a kitchen side return extension with plus rooms and have been really happy with the process - the building team worked efficiently and were friendly and courteous in our home. The project manager kept us in the loop on everything and was really prompt on coming back to all our many questions. He was very good at finding solutions and managing challenges that cropped up. We tendered for the work and found plus rooms to represent good value, their costs did not change much at all from quote to final and this was something we were worried about. Quality of the work was good and we are delighted with the end result.

Living through a kitchen extension on a terraced London house isn't fun. We both work full-time and have two children at school so returning at the end of each day to the property once works had commenced could be a little stressful; but PlusRooms protected our downstairs areas, created a temporary kitchen for us and were really considerate of the fact we were living through the works. They project managed the whole thing right from design, costing, adjustments, planning, build scheduling, (prompting us what to buy and when), right through the build - and we couldn't be more delighted with our new space. Living through building works is unpleasant but was made less so with Robbie and James' support and professionalism. We had the odd snagging that needed resolving at the end of the job, which you would always expect, so we are more than happy to recommend PlusRooms and may be using them again next year!
