Assuming this is a semi I think that you should coordinate efforts with your neighbours. Personally I think these houses are transformed when painted a bright neutral that is just a little different to the windows. (I like cream, ivory, pale grey etc)

Maybe a couple of photos of the area will generate some suggestions. :)

Thank you both very very much. Didn't even realize i was posting on the UK site. I'm actually living in the Caribbean and have this house in Queens, New York. (didn't know how to turn the pic so thanks for that!) I'm going to post a pic of the entryway which i just did over in stone. Was looking for the perfect shade of gray to paint the exterior wall but haven't find it yet. Thank you again for your advice. Totally appreciate it! If you know the perfect grey...let me know! : )

I should add... the photo doesn’t show it, but the roof is past its time with curling shingles and moisture seeping under, especially bad on the full dormer at the back of the house, The wood siding and shingles are a little beat up, but it’s the cost of painting every few years that has us looking to fiber cement siding. The back and sides of the house are currently a blue gray wood shingle.
