wall decoration ideas

I would like to put something on the wall, but still not sure (picture frames, mirrow, wallpapers, chalkboard...). Do you have some advices? Advices for colours? Thanks :-)

Hi. Do you mean the clock wall or the one next to the baby's chair? Do you have a picture of the kitchen? Shelving unit looks great btw!

The kitchen (attached) is connected with dining area, which is unfinished. I need advice for both walls, the clock is just a temporary solution.

THIS IS A REALLY NICE ROOM. I LIKE THE BEAM AND FIREPLACE. IF YOU LIKE WARM AND TRADITIONAL THE WHOLE ROOM COULD HAVE GONE RED, BUT YOU NEED TO USE THE RIGHT RED, I WOULD SUGGEST USING FIRED EARTHS MADDER RED IN ACRYLIC. I WOULD KEEP THE SOFA'S GET LAURA ASHLEY CUSHIONS AND SOME NICE THROWS FROM TK MAXX. I WOULD LAY ENGINEERED LIGHT OAK OR LAMINATE FLOOR, THIS WOULD AGAIN BOUNCE LIGHT. BUY A PRETTY LIGHT FITTING AND PUT FULL LENGTH SHEER CURTAINS AT WINDOW, IKEA HAVE SOME GREAT ONES. PAINT TABLE WHITE. IF YOU DONT WANT RED GO COASTAL COTTAGE WITH A SEA SIDE VIBE WITH BLUE AND WHITES. LAURA ASHLEY COASTAL STYLE WOULD SUIT THE SPACE WITH ANY COLOUR YOU LIKE. BUT EITHER WAY CELEBRATE THE ROOMS COTTAGE VIBE ITS SUPER EN-VOGUE AT THE MOMENT. GOOD LOOK.

Hi Grace, wallpapers are a great way to add interest in a space, I'd suggest selecting a paper that doesn't have a vertical pattern as it will make the stairway feel taller and narrower. Ideally a paper with an overall pattern, or a horizontal pattern would work best. Here a few ideas: design option 1 & design option 2. I'd recommend adding a radiator cover; as well as hiding the radiator it will also provide a shelf to add photo frames &/or a flower arrangement, as long as you've got enough space on your landing! Hi there, The extension looks really nice - well done! I'd probably advise you to do a slimline low cabinet on your feature wall, and then maybe add some floating shelves to add more storage and also a nice design feature. For the sofa, I'd go for a darker colour, maybe an off-black (shows less stains/marks!) Hope this helps!

I don't think it needs much to be honest, the area looks lovely. Personally I would keep with the White walls and add a larger contemporary wall clock where the existing one is and a piece of art where the high chair is either in lime green or a mid blue. Add tea, coffee pots etc in black and then just add tea towels etc in the lime or blue. I would also add some bigger pieces in those colours in the shelving doorway. Or if you want to go holder paint the back wall in the blue so you frame it as you come through the doorway (if you know what I mean!) That is all on the basis the cabinets are orange and not red.
