Hi there, I'm in a dilemma and wondered if you could help please. I have a small double reception room with two chimney breast, with narrow alcoves. I'm thinking of knocking down the dining room chimney breast as well as the upstairs bedroom chimney, to create more room. My question is that should double reception rooms each have a chimney breast / would it de-value the house price? It would create a bit more space and also I'll be able to find some furniture to fit as the depth of the chimney is very narrow, but I don't want it to look odd. Thanks in advance. C.
