Comments (18)I think the Moroccan shades are beautiful. So lovely to have an authentic find that will have personal memories for you on display. I think the wicker shade is a little dull compared to your other light choices, would you consider painting it? A lovely Moroccan shade of blue or green perhaps? Here is a link to a wicker artist who gives advice on spray painting furniture - http://www.wickerwoman.com/articles/painting-wicker Not sure if the same rules apply for paint to a surface close to a light source but a paint specialist would know. Finally I wondered if you would consider a Moroccan style centre light - with all the angles in your ceiling a central pendant may throw some interesting patterns. I don't know what your style is but you could try an arc lamp, laura Ashley I think does a more traditonal one if you don't want something too contemporary looking. Or have a look at cordless table lamps, you may find one suitable. Or can you have a string of lights attached to a beam or something? Comments (2)Haven't seen any nice fan/light combos? I agree ruling out the recessed lights are the way to go. There's the maintenance issues and also the chance the light behind the fan will strobe. Horrible to live with....See More- 11 years ago
