I've done so much research and think I have narrowed my choices (unless someone else has a different hat to throw in the ring). I have a large lab, no kids at home. Building a 2600 sf "aging in place/low maintenance" home. Subfloor will be plywood. Installing this in about 2000 sf of the home. (other 600 sf will be tile in bathrooms/closet and laundry room).

Please advise me as to the "better" choice. I think I can find a color within each manufacturer, so that won't be my deciding factor.

Will I need to "supervise" my builder's installer? I'm pretty sure he is a "handyman" who is in charge of various interior trim work.

How much should I expect my builder to charge per sf to install if I purchase the product on my own?
