Paint colour help!!
Hi - I need some help with choosing colours for our new extension. We are doing a wrap around extension of a Victoria terrace to house a new kitchen and dining area. The new wrap around section will have a fully glazed roof with dark grey aluminium frame, and bifold doors across the back with same frame. We have decided on Mylands 'Maritime' paint colour for the kitchen cabinetry (it's a strong denim-y blue) with a composite stone worktop to look like marble, with white tiled Splashback with dark grey grouting. Next to the kitchen, in the dining end, under the glass is a wall to wall full height bookcase with cabinets underneath - I don't want these in the same blue as kitchen, but my quandary is should the bookcase be the same pale grey as the walls (thinking farrow & ball cornforth White) or should they be a shade lighter/darker than the walls? And what about the walls and skirting? I've now looked at so many options I've totally confused myself! Attached is a kitchen plan (excuse the scribbles) and any tips for colour combos would be greatly appreciated. Also tips on lighting? And any porcelain tiling thoughts?! Thanks!
