Need advice on fireplace without working chimney
Comments (13)Of course. The dimensions would depend on the size of the fireplace/burner you would be going for. The opening would have to be made of non-flammable material, such as brick, stone, metal, porcelain tiles, Vermiculite Board, etc. You could use non-flammable paint over that. For example, our freestanding baskets like the one Richard posted above need 60 cm clearance from the bottom to the top; or if you wanted a contemporary line of fire look you could go for our Regulating Bio Containers like the one in the photo below - all required dimensions are available in the brochure with building advice on our website. We hope that helps :) Good luck with the project!...See MoreKitchen diner layout
Comments (9)Out of curiosity why is there a step up in the lounge? Is the garden higher? It occured to me that a room all in one level would be easier to furnish. Also is there any reason the extension that includes the lounge has no doors to the side? Since those side windows are south facing it seems to be that without access out at the side that part of the garden would be underused...See MoreThrough Lounge Arch Removal and Stud Wall Erection

If so then a lintel (steel) should have been installed to secure the building above it....See MoreRemoved UPVC porch doors... What to do about the split colour in porch

That’s why I was thinking a grey beige to kind of blend with the original.. but then it’s committing to carry on right through the porch and where to stop😂🙈 Does anyone know if you can clean/strip paint off brick? Doubt it as assume would soak in...See More- 10 years ago
