Hi Emilie, If I was you I'd do the cladding in dark grey, and make a statement in royal blue with the two doors at the front. I wouldn't change the front door colour necessarily as it matches the surround and the windows as it is. Here's a pic to show you what I mean. Hope this helps!

There are some quite respectable copies out there so it might be worth taking a look. There are also artisans out there that still make iron goods in the good old fashioned way. Perhaps Kenrick could help you out with a striking plate and letterbox or at least point you in the right direction. There is also a website called Etsy that sells crafts and antiques etc.

So….five years down the line and its time to change my front door colour! I found me previous thread, and as @CWD pointed out in their post, keeping it grey could make it look more of a black hole.And when i look at it in its current state i couldnt agree more! The inside of the front door & inside porch panelling will be De Nimes blue, and not sure whether the colour i choose should tone with that, or whether i should go a random colour? Here are pics of it currently (only the planting has changed really) and i wondered about trying a lilac or a rich purple for a change. Although I’m painting the garage door ,i’m thinking of keeping it a grey (although will try to match the door more with the frame) as it is a lot further up the drive so you dont really see the two together. l’d welcome any thought and ideas (again!)
