As OnePlan says, layout works & not being greeted by a wc is a bonus! Get the lighting right & it won't be a problem not having a window. I would recommend having lighting switched separately as well as extractor fan,with secondary lighting for when you may need to use the wc in the night etc & don't want to be blinded by the main lights - wall lights or LEDs at low level under vanity unit, left wall & right wall from end of bath to wc for example. Invest in a mirrored cabinet with integrated lighting & shaver socket & would recommend a large mirror on the left wall to make the room feel more spacious. We have fitted a mirror from ikea several times on previous projects, 2m x 80cm for £80. Regarding tile choice I wouldn't be to concerned about the finish of the tile if your lighting is right. I have gone with the same tile for both walls & floor in ensuite & small bathrooms which helps the room feel bigger. Whites & neutral tones are always a winner in smaller spaces. The comments above are helpful. As a generalisation, I would add that a family home retains its bath for young children (and, indeed young grandchildren); most adults opt for a shower these days. So great that you have a bath somewhere, albeit any young children would need to walk through the bedroom to get to it. Depending on how big your bathroom is actually, and your budget, we had a similar challenge and fitted a shower space with hinged shower door in a wet room style design so that the family bathroom had both bath and shower. The hinged door opens up the floor space and prevents the room being sprayed; in fact only the bath itself gets wet, and even then not significantly. This may be of interest. The room footprint in this case was 1.9m by 2.1m. Other things to consider include opening the bathroom door outwards to create better use of the floor space you have. We also moved the door in this case to fit the sink comfortably, and fitted a small bath (which is fine for children). Hope this helps in some way. Nick

You may be able to fit a separate shower and bath in here, if that would be of interest. If you can find a bath that is 75cm wide (pretty standard), then you could put a walk in shower in the alcove where the towel rail is as the 50cm gap next to the bath should be enough to walk through. Gives a nice 125 x 80cm shower space. Alternatively as Jonathan suggests, build a false wall at the shower end of the bath to take the shower plumbing and screen, and try to wall off that alcove and access it from elsewhere so it isn’t wasted.
