lux!

Hi Jenny, I would definitely be tempted to inject some colour into that space. If you keep with the grey scheme I would recommend something a bit more dramatic like Moles breath or Worsted on that wall where the window is. I would put a wall hung mirror similar to what I did in a recent project of mine where they similarly had a sink in front of a mirror. And on the wall above the loo I would put either some open shelving with some beautifully fluffy towels and a few plants or a nice print. Good luck!

We live in an Edwardian house with a separate loo (original layout), which we kept separate during renovation as I'd really rather keep the toilet water away from toothbrushes and also so that people can use loo while someone in the shower. Having lived in the US for a number of years, with toilets in a separate little room within a larger bathroom, it didn't seem so strange any more either. We did add a small sink in with the loo as there was none originally. Another side benefit is that the shower room (we took out the bath and put in a bath-sized shower) could be laid out more effecitvely with double sinks (another US-inspired decision) along the wall which separates the shower-room from the loo-room - if we'd opened the space up we wouldn't have been able to get two sinks in and it would have felt more cramped.

Hi Oraanj. Thank you ever so much for your comment. We were thinking of option 1.... So dividing the main bathroom into a hallway with a separate small wc, which then leads to a ulitity, which then leads to a bathroom. My only concern is walking through a space to get to another... What are your thoughts on this, or am I thinking into it too much!
