Here is a better picture with the aspect and some table ideas I have seen? I’m just not sure which would look better. Thought the wood would add warmth but the white would look less cluttered. I like the idea of benches or a bench and a couple of chairs. Here are some that I like. Unfortunately they are not available until January now.

Here are some other bits I like but I can’t decide how it will work and need help choosing on how to put it all together. I realise it doesn’t all go together but they are just ideas of what I like the look of.

Thanks @carolina there are radiators below each window and the sofa feels quite cosy where it currently is. The bifold opens from the left(window side ) so don’t want to blOck it with anything. We decided to keep this as a dining room and move th play to the end of our living room after the toddler kept bringing her toys back in both rooms were messy haha. Have had a shuffle with the living room but it’s far from finished. will probably focus on it a bit more later. I like the hancock, not so much the price though! (I love how you were familiar with it). Do you think one bench or two? I’m in two minds with chair option..

A bench without a back isn't the most comfortable seating option. So if you like having friends over for dinner and/or just sitting at your dining table for a long time, (reading the paper, doing a board game) a chair might be a 'friendlier' choice.

Have you seen the Lund table? Only it's slightly smaller and I think you have to store the extension leaf separately, while in the Hancock it's stored in the table. What I like about the Lund are the round corners, which are more todler friendly? Also cheaper.

Hmmm maybe a mix of the two bench and chairs for comfort then. We don’t have a barker and stone house local to us so we were a little reluctant to order online. Have you seen any in person? Those are also nice tables though I do quite like earthy wood rather than a yellow shade.. it doesn’t necessarily have to be extendable as we can get 165-170cm in nicely whereas when we were looking at the living room it was a much tighter space. I did like the industrial look but I really don’t think it would suit the feel of this room. I hadn’t even thought about the edges . I do quite like the style of the legs and shape of the Hancock I was just looking at the fixed 165 size..

No, haven't seen any of them. I'm not even in the UK, so I can only go from what I see online :-) Just thought the corners could be something to keep in mind.

From a practical viewpoint, if you’re going for a bench, I would suggest a table with either “X” type legs or one or two pedestals. This makes it easier for someone to get onto the bench if someone is already sitting on it as corner legs get in the way and you have to do synchronised pulling in!

How about including a hand crafted willow piece of furniture? We make both hanging and free standing items and it could look great in this light, airy space, with a natural backdrop of the outdoors!
