Help which flooring to complement kitchen and worktop

I have a new Howdens cashmere kitchen with a light oak laminate effect worktop and need help with finding the right colour floor, it’s a large kitchen hoping also to incorporate the hallway with same floor. Any suggestions would be welcome.

should you wish to achieve a contrast, we have a large selection of wooden floors that can be a great choice for it...possibly our ISTANBUL or MADRID floors, or feel free to browse through our selection of over 40 bespoke stains and over 150+ available products.

Many of my customers have decided to use Pergo or Karndean due to cost and choice of colours.

agree with comment above - call Cosentino and they can direct you either to a local kitchen showroom with worktop installed in a colour you are considering or they can tell you where you can view the slabs. i live in Ireland and visited the Cosentino warehouse in Dublin to view slabs - it certainly affected our decision making. we went for lagoon and its great - no problem with staining

Hi, We are finally renovating our kitchen and would like some advice about installing 2 different types of kitchen worktops: granite and wood. We have a smallish J-shaped kitchen and with a separate laundry room which houses the fridge/freezer and washing machine. The style is classical/country cabinet doors in cream/mushroom colour and neutral walls. We have Moroccan style tiles which we installed when we first moved in to brighten up the kitchen, and we would like to retain these (picture included). For cost efficiency, we are considering brown or cream (can’t decide colour!) granite worktops across where the hob and sink will be situated and a dark wood across the 3rd worktop (sample plan attached). Most of the pictures of mix and match countertops on houzz/Pinterest etc seem to involve an island Or breakfast bar, neither of which we have enough space for. Thus would like your feedback on: Will differing worktops work or do they appear too disjointed in a smaller kitchen Advice on granite/quartz worktop colours that will work with the floor tiles. also any advice re: colour scheme for walls/splashback/cabinetry hardware/tiles would be appreciated. most of my kitchen toys ie food processor/kettle/toasrer are grey/black, and the hob/oven/microwave are likely to be grey/black so doesn’t really match with a traditional/country style kitchen! You could get reclaimed parquet installed in the kitchen, and then sanded to match the hallway. But there two very different style in the hallway and kitchen, one being 1930's and the other much more modern. So an engineered parquet would work well in the kitchen, the difference in the original parquet in the hall and new parquet in the kitchen would just be a reflection on the different spaces in the house. A smoked oak, with a clear oil would give you a really warm colour and texture to the kitchen floor, as well as not being as cold to touch as slate. Good luck with this, it looks like a lovely house!
