Cabinet Hardware Install

Help please! Big kitchen renovation in the works. It was going great, other than behind schedule. But today the contractor had his guys install the hardware on the cabinets. I'm am so upset. I held them up and showed them exactly where I wanted them. Luckily I went in when they had done the first two sets and they were completely wrong. Way too close together! I called the contractor who was pretty rude because of the cost and sent his other guy over to talk to me. Again, I showed them exactly where I wanted them, but then I had to leave. I came home to find that they had installed most of the rest of them, but again WRONG! This time they were the right distance apart, but the completely wrong height. And what's worse, they are uneven. The pull on every left cabinet is about 1/8 inch further in than the right.

So our builder is coming over in the morning but I know there's no way he's going to want to replace the cabinet doors. But I hired a builder so that it would be done right. I couldn't imagine it could be this hard for professionals to install cabinet pulls evenly, so I searched and in about 5 seconds found templates (which they did not use) and in about 2 minutes found that it's even better to build a jig to be able to quickly install them perfectly. I feel like we would have done a far better job doing it ourselves. So what do I do? I don't want the builder to lose money, but I don't want uneven pulls in our brand new kitchen. :(
