I currently have about 5 large boxes of books in my house and 5 “unused” alcoves so alcove shelving seems an obvious solution to me! What I’m struggling to decide is 1) How far recessed from the alcove the shelves would look best (2cm or more in an alcove that is 30cm deep?), 2) how chunky/thick (top to bottom) the shelves should be and 3) whether to pack the shelves in eg for novels without leaving much space between shelves or make a taller space on the bottom shelf for photos etc? Any ideas please?

Love it, think it will look super. just make sure you replicate the mouldings at the top with your current coving I think it would look better to have the alcove units the same colour as your wall, then have your feature wall the dark grey. crap crappy photoshopping, but you get the idea.

These photos give you a better idea of the room space - i want to get rid of the unit in picture 2 and hide the devices in the alcove cupboards plus associated essentials that go with it. The rest is school stuff but we also use that room to do homework anyway. You can also see how shallow the alcoves are.

Hi Marina, We used them for my mother's bathroom renovations. She was looking for a marble one though, but the customer service was great. It was just as we hit lockdown and there were delays but they keep in touch throughout. From our experience, we would recommend. Good luck with your project.
