Before and after Home Study
Our client was looking to update her home study, as somewhere where she spent a lot a time she needed it to work better for her and make it a more enjoyable space to be.
We always love having design consultations with our clients, as all our furniture is made bespoke to the space it is really important for us to understand how the space is used and the specific needs they have.
This client needed practical storage solutions as well as more decorative areas to create a personal and homely feel. We used American Black Walnut and stained it darker to create this elegant finish, wrapped leather handles with polished nickel detailing set the cabinetry off perfectly.
With so many people now working from home, we believe its so important to create a space where productivity and creativity can thrive

Comments (20)totally agree with you. love original features. if the window is original in the bathroom then you've done a great job showing it off as it wasn't noticeable before. Love the bay too. so did they use the original glass or did they just replica the design? my own house is an old house unfortunately it was used as part business before so has lost a lot of features. over the next year we will be putting up an extension to replace one that had been added and will try and start sourcing some original items to put back Into the house. will think it will be a challenge at times but looking forward to it....See MoreBefore & After: Wandsworth Home Transformed!

Comments (32)@vv0123 thank you! I restored the windows back to how they would have been originally. The original transom (I think it is called) would have been stone but my dad made mine from timber and I painted it. A couple of houses on my street still have the original feature so I was able to make sure mine looked correct. The two windows were then fitted either side. The windows are plastic but I went for the half/half openers, again to make them look more like original sash windows, plus some of the windows are over 6ft high so it makes them easier to open. The windows came from a local window company in Manchester my dad occasionally fits for. Hope that answers all your questions :)...See More- PRO7 years ago
