Minis from Burlington

I received my lists and noticed they have quite a few minis. I have a Noid possible mini but otherwise my only real mini is Scentsational which smells fantastic but isn't a color I would typically choose. I was thinking I may need a Bees Knees, Jean Keneally, and Jeanne Lajoie. Anyone have favorite minis that Burling sells?

I have several mini's that Burling carries. Mini Mouse aka Roller Coaster is growing great guns. I just got that band in the fall and it has taken off like crazy. Another one that I love is Bunch of Grapes AKA Vineyard Song. Both are extremely disease resistant and the flowers are quite nice. Don't have the greatest pictures of them as they are still growing out of the band stage, but I don't think you will be disappointed. I think she also carries Sequoia Gold which I have had for about 20 years. Great plant. I also think she carries Lavender Crystal which has done very well for me (had about 20 years as well). Don't know your zone so I can't comment on any fugal diseases as I usually don't get any. Also, her Maroon Eight was just named one of the best roses to grow in California. That one is also fantastic. I don't have any good pictures of it as that maroon red color just will not be captured by my cell phone.

Good to read Ken, it is on my list. I frequently go to my local botanical garden so that I can see every month what different roses are blooming at different times since it changes so much. I went last fall and not many were in bloom that day but the icebergs were all blooming spectacularly and near them was this beautiful stately upright mini that I had never noticed before but that day it looked so perfect. I made a note that it was Jean Keneally and I've kept an eye out for it since.

Hi kemi, you could use floor cushions and layers of rugs and make a cosy easily changed style. Hang sari fabric and Moroccan lamps from the ceiling and create a really comfortable nook.

Another option would be to inject some luxurious fabric or colour in your bedding - quilt, pillows with a floor rug even. Then picking up a colour to work into your lamps shades, or even changing your lamps to something taller. and more striking. Another addition could be a wall hanging of a really fabulous material over the bed head that ties with your bedding choices.

Thanks for comment, that is the part M regs was reading last night but now been reading some more think this covers disabled access so for upstairs wouldn't apply and I think (could be completely wrong on this part) for a renovation of an old property (ours 1950's) then as long as not making it worse then okay but I can't find this actually written anywhere official just on forums. The furniture comment is bugging me though and will go in loft today and speak to structural engineer as taking out the little bit of wall outside airing cupboard and maybe shaving a diagonal bit off other wall as goes into new hall will make things much better.

Bees Knees is a great bloomer.

Jean Keneally is lovely. This photo doesn't do t justice but all I could find now.

Jeanne Lajoie is adorable but give her tons of space because I've seen her get 12 feet high and 8 feet wide!

I got Jeanne Lajoie to weave in with my Lavender Lassie, because LL is a Spring bloomer so far here. I hope LL can handle her new friend.

I like all the minis I've bought from Burling but I have some that I'm not sure were from her. She does have one of the best selections , I guess from her long association with Ralph Moore. I like minis at the front of a border or in pots. Some do grow large. My Jeanne Lajoie is not large, not in a good spot.

Edisto These have a lot of petals and nice form. The plant wants to grow large:

Denver's Dream so bright and blooms alot

Hurdy Gurdy blooms a lot, can climb or grow as a shrub

Sweet Chariot fragrant to some

Strawberry Swirl moss, tiny blooms, good vigor repeats well

Irresistible good vigor and repeat

Also like Iced Tea, X-Rated is great, Jean Kenneally.

A favorite mini, Carnival Glass , don't know where I got it:
Blooms and blooms. Stays happy in a pot.

I have Lavender Crystal and Dr. John Dickman coming this year. Want Yantai and Sweet Arlene. Love that Sequoia Gold pic!

Erasmus those are wonderful!!! Your Vineyard Song is also one of the best photos of that rose I've seen.
