Abbaye de Cluny

I had no idea this rose was so huge!
Everything in NorCal has relished all our rain this year, including the roses. From camellias to orange blossoms, every plant has outdone itself.

    Is that a baby‘s hand?

Well, there may have been a recent-ish time when I could be called a "babe" , but it has been decades since I was a baby, LOL. It's my own rose-thorn-scarred hand, taken this morning. As I said, these blooms are huge!

So, first 2020 bloom, also huge despite our lack of rain. I put a quarter on it to show the size.

yowzers that's so gorgeous...I keep thinking about getting this rose but just haven't yet. I love you photos of it!

Thanks, I wish I had a better camera :( This one it's really hard to get a close up in focus, it doesn't do sunny shots well, and I cannot get an accurate blue color (my Black n Blue salvia comes out practically pink)

But I'm glad the quarter on Ms Cluny is clear!

    Holy cow! That's the bomb!🤩

Carla, you have a beautiful monster sized bloom there. I've grown Abbaye de Cluny, a hybrid tea Romantica, for about 12 years. She's a dependable and lovely rose, about 7 feet tall in mid season, and does have large blooms. I've just pruned her way down, but she grows fast. Diane/nanadoll

All these photos are gorgeous! Im so jealous, roses have just barely begun to put out growth. I haven't even pruned anything other than my clematis cause its still to cold here.
