Wardrobe advice for loft space

Hi all

I would really appreciate advice on fitted wardrobes and access to storage to the area under the eaves.

The first photo is where I will be putting in a full length wardrobe which will run across the sloping ceiling towards the left (second photo).
However, there is an area under the eaves, beyond the partition section which I want to make use of for storage. It’s not a large area and may be difficult to access but I would still want to make some use of it.

Any ideas how I would access it and how it will be incorporated within the wardrobe space?

I will be also placing drawers or some sort of units under the windows also so that section maybe close off.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Your photographs also show a major pet hate of mine and time and again I wonder when residential builders are going to enter into the modern world!

The pet hate is the use of wood for plasterboard wall structures instead of metal top and bottom track, metal studs and metal noggins.

The use of metal stud partitioning has been an industry standard in the commercial, hospitality, industrial and retail sectors for over 35 years. It is faster to install, cheaper and far more accurate than the use of wood and you do not need to be a rocket scientist to erect it!

It is about time that British builders started to learn the lessons from their commercial counterparts!

I think that some form of pullout is your best option in there, you might be able to get a section of full hanging or a set of double hanging space, then you could have some cubby holes built for shoes etc in the tight corner. Im not sure if there is enough space, but another idea might be to make it into a really cosy bench seat with a custom cushion on top, this way you could have storage underneath and then a nice place to sit and read- but it might just be a little too tight for this.

You do need to add photos. To do this: Under the box you are typing in are some letters and icons. You will already have the photos so click on the camera icon which is the 5th from the left. It will then let you access your photos. Select photo library. Click on the photo you want to use and select Use which is in the top right hand corner. Wait for the image to change shade and then press submit.
