No grids they do not suit the house. I actually dislike them all the time.

I'm just a homeowner trying to figure out style issues as well, but I think no grids on your house would be just fine. If you really want grids I'd suggest only the vertical line ones for the style.

To the other anti-grid commenters: What about my house pictured below? Grids yes/no? I was considering only the upper sash. I'm getting LowE 3 glass. Probably don't want to spend the extra $$$ for SDL.

We just got new impact windows and did the grids on the top half, are you in FL? We are in FL and while it's not the popular style down here I wanted something different. First one is too farmhouse for me... and I like the farmhouse style LOL.

itsourcasa yes I am in Jupiter Florida and everyone has grids but way to many grids on their windows for my liking so I wanted windows with less grids. I have had plain forever and when I get my windows I want it to look different or it wont change the look of the house at all. Oh you think the first looks farmhouse? I thought it looked coastal. It seems to be the newest style around here.

Yes, google farmhouse windows, they are all tall windows with 1x1 grids top to bottom. I'm close to jupiter too, but I mostly just see windows with no grids. These are ours...

The style grids you did is actually what I picked awhile ago then recently changed it to less. All the designs look nice I feel it gives a house a little more character. what color glass did you do? I cant decide if I want gray or clear.

Our windows are big so this was the best looking grid pattern. We did impact, low e, argon everything they offered... it has a super slight green tint but not noticeable to us.
