Hey So the latest update is that we're still busy with the project but in the closing stages. We've done a lot of work inside more than originally planned we've gutted the house and replaced everything and changed the floor plan to modernise it and make more of an open plan space downstairs. We've done the rear extension which is now dedicated to kitchen with a central island running parallel with the doors . On the outside the house has had external insulation fitted and new render which makes it look new. I've attached some recent pics. Richard

I love this! I’m really wanting add Tudor cladding to our garage and I love the way you have all photoshopped to see it before you do it. How do I do this? I’m thinking render and Tudor cladding above the garage and rendered within the porch area. We’ve just had the garage door painted and I feel it needs something extra. a couple of houses on the street have Tudor cladding so it wouldn’t look out of place.

We were on our way to removing the RH long bit to make the desk straight but stopped here at a half-way house position - just to consider it. We do a lot of procrastinating in my house!! Means retaining the large corner space. Needs a new top, obvs and in a different shape, probably curved? What do you think? Now got a fair bit of free wall. Daughter likes it:) Electrician comes next week so we need to decide this weekend.

I agree it needs greenery. The style of door doesn’t sit well imo. I would change it for something along the lines of the style of the grey one in pic 2 but a more contemporary one in any case. If you go for a porch, I’d do a flat roof. Another houzzer has just posted their house with what I assume is the original (hope they don’t mind me adding it!). I would look for ones like I’ve added, not necessaily in those materials but the shape, nor the size of some but I had to screenshot rather than add the link! perhaps in time upgrade the windows and drive but depends on the budget
