We are replace windows in a 1915 Tudor house. We were planning to use Anderson 400 but contractor suggested Marvin Elevate. We saw them in show room and the look almost the same.
We just went through this! Had to replace two windows ahead of larger renovation and ended up going with the elevate for the rest of the house after talking to our architect and looking at them. Admittedly the Andersen window slides ever so slightly smoother up and down (we have double hung windows) but overall the Marvin windows look so much nicer. We found them in our area to actually be about the same price so ultimately went with the Marvin and really love them. It’s also nice that with the wood interior they could be repainted/stained in the future. We’ve just ordered the replacement for the two Andersen windows which is annoying but for us worth the cost
The fiberglass or Ultrex of the Elevate is also more durable than the vinyl clad of the 400 especially if you have any high exposure on your south or west elevations. Thus, a better value for your investment in the long run.
