I agree that that duck egg blue would be worth considering or perhaps a grey/ mauve colour for the waIls and bed cover/ cushions . I would as others have suggested , certainly get rid of the picture above the chest and replace it with a large mirror with a decorative frame . It's not clear what the present lighting is or if you have a bedside table but a nice lamp either on the chest or beside table would help create a nice atmosphere . Also I would replace any curtains with a Roman blind in a complimentary fabríc with black out lining . If you look on line you can get these quite reasonably just make sure you get the measurements right . The blind should sit out side the window recess so when drawn up it gives a sort of pelmet effect

It looks great, I'm glad you and your daughter are so pleased and she has lots of room for friends over, playing etc. It can also be easily and cheaply adapted as she grows if she wants. My only criticism (if you can call it that) is that if not already your daughter may soon also want the desk to double up as a dressing table and therefore I think a mirror was a good idea but the memo board (which looks great) can always be moved as and when needed. (I thought i'd posted a comment on that previously but obviously not!). I might also add a desk light there for working during winter months. So which room next?!

White or pale walls are ok, DOn't feel that the only way to decorate4 is by painitng the walls. Decide if you want white on white scheme, or a pop of colour. If so, cushions and curtains are the way to go. Decide on a colour and stick to it. TRy the 70-20-10 rule where your 70 is white4 (your walls) and 20 is curtqains and cushions and 10 is a secondary colour such as gold or silver for hardwaqre and ornaments and presto you're done.

May I ask what colours would you prefer? I noticed you mentioned about there not being any direct sunlight coming into the room. What if you had bright or neutral colours? What kind of decorating were you looking to do? would it be just decorating the walls? or were you looking to change your colour scheme and style altogether? apologies for lots of questions, It may just help you get an idea of what you may like and feel comfortable changing in the room :)
