Happy Easter, everyone!

For anyone who's here today, anyway (and everybody else, too). DH is sick so I had to call people and cancel the small get-together I had planned. Oh well, better to be safe than sorry. I'm feeling fine so I'll probably get some chores done outside on this beautiful sunshine-y day and plant some seeds under the lights. I see the glory of God in nature so I can still reflect and pray while working in solitude today.

Thanks everyone! Much appreciate your help and graphics. The fan has to go and will be replaced by something less ugly, all being well, though the plant and shelf idea I like. I'm torn between going for something like 3 photo frames in the 3 rectangular style or a massive mirror to add a bit of drama. The attached mirror would fall over the tile line and maybe break that line up and distract from units being higher than bath. Add a group of silver candle holders standing on the cabinet and everything should look a bit brighter. Wish I could put a sheepskin rug on the floor as a bath mat but that would turn ugly quite quickly I imagine!

I like classic, country styling, things like slightly battered comfy armchairs & cushions and Persian rugs, where things don't make statements and there are no "feature walls". Nothing jarringly modern - but by the same virtue nothing jarringly old fashioned - some old, some new. A place where things don't match, but not in a contrived way, in an organically evolved way. I like having carpet in a lot of rooms, when so many people want laminate/engineered/wood/tiles throughout the whole house. I like white/off white real wood window frames, with real paint.

What colour and type of flooring does everyone suggest ?

Can I suggest you consider either a "glued down" floor from Karndean, or alternatively either their Palioclick or Korlok products, which are click lock flooring designed specifically for "wet" areas such as kitchens & bathrooms, and are extremely hard wearing? You can choose whether to lay before or after installing the kitchen itself, and there are a wonderful range of both tile and woodgrain options. A sample image of a white kitchen with a Korlok floor that was narrow and with limited light - I don't have an equivalent with a similar worktop to yours, but trust me - it would look wonderful!

Hi, Hope all is well It’s me, on omy one day off So, finally got down ti opening up the side acyrlic bath panel, findings as below Plus points 1) Didn’t find any mould or an ongoing water leak/ ingress Just some previous water stains 2) Nothing broken, to the unteained eye Negative- The floor seemed dirty and not professionally done? OMG- Found poo or most likely rat droppings!! Hoovered it, cleaned the floor and sprayed the Polar grout and tile sealant Will take a break and hope to get some feedback Possibly the rats have access from the left side? which is above the utility room and connected to drainage pipes? Happy Easter!! An unusually nice day for Easter! Some years it's been cold and gray, it's gorgeous out! Hope everyone really gets a break and visit with some family and friends!

Mxk3 - Sorry your poor husband is sick today and you had to cancel your get together. Disappointing I'm sure, but yes, we're not able to visit with family today, have been texting back and forth and spent some time outside in the beautiful weather doing a little light gardening.
