protecting glass dining table

Looking for product recommendations to protect the tabletop of a glass
dining table. Just a little worried about scratching it, dropping things and ruining it etc.

Looking for something transparent so that the beauty of the glass and vase still show!

Glass tables don't need "protecting". People sometimes put glass over wood to protect the wood. any table top will be dinged by dropping things on it including anything you might put over top the glass.

I had a glass topped table on my patio fors everal years, stayed out there allw inter through snow ice etc. Bever got a scratch....but Iw as tired or trying to keep it clean in the summer.

Hard water rings might be an issue for vases that are placed in the same position regularly. Be sure bottoms are dry and use runner or other barrier.

My project at the moment is design of multi functional glass top table. As price of houses are rising and size of our houses reducing, most homes being used live and works pace too. We are socializing far more than our parents did and so we have larger parties. My table has lots of use , It is dining table or work table. the table extensions are side tables or dressing table or hall table or kitchen table. The table top is removed completely so it can be moved to any place or any room without restriction. However as my table as glass top it is less noticeable in its size and it let light through it so the elaborate patchwork base can be seen . The base of my tables are on brass caster too which is ideal to move them around the house with out help of another person. I have made three so far and like some kind of feedback from other designers, home stylist, home owners too.

Tbh I’d have just one of those chairs and bring it down to the rhs of the sofa, set into the room slightly, two other smaller dining chairs to replace the first choice ones, your getting the table anyway so you need chairs, I think these are to big for dining chairs and certainly for a small table, other thing is, when you sitting in them what are your going to be doing? To far away to easily socialise with anyone on the far side of the sofa, difficult angle to see the tv, just my thoughts :-)
