Modern Backyard Pool Design - Comments Please

Looking for input on this preliminary design for a backyard pool project. I recently bought a house with a good sized backyard and need to do something interesting with the space. The pool design features a tanning shelf, spa, and the backyard includes a space for wine tasting. Clean and simple.


I created a 3D model and animation of the home with Cedreo and iMovie, to simulate an exciting drone fly through and over the property.


Highly interested in any comments, especially constructive feedback.

    I had a pool ... based on my experience, I'd put more space between the home and the pool, so that the main "seating" can be in that area. Then, expand the side area (where the seating currently is) to give people options/allow for additional sunbathing or seating under the awning or in the sun.

    @Sammie J Really good points. Thanks. In this version the pool is only 10 ft from the house. Do pool owners and their guests tend to spend more time around the pool than in it?

    Depends on how you entertain. When we had family staying, we were mostly in the pool. When we had neighbors over, we were mostly around it. Day-to-day, I used it much more for enjoying the outdoors rather than swimming.
