No! Don’t use pink stuff paste or a magic eraser! Pink stuff spray is fine but not the paste. We have spare doors at work and have done tests on them. You should not use a product that is harsh such as paste because in time it will take the surface of the door off. If however your doors are so bad that they are ready for replacing you have nothing to loose. I’m now monitoring the removal of marks with baby wipes. For some strange reason they seem to shift a multitude of sins.

It is the green room - I'm impressed! Another problem solved by the amazing Houzz folks! Would you go with sheer curtains? That's what we had before but as there isn't much space for them to hang at the sides wasn't sure if that was the best way to go! Tani - there were blinds there when we moved in but we never used them as we aren't overlooked, there is no streetlight glare and they were hard to reach. Plus they never looked like they fitted right (maybe they didn't!!). I'm happy to keep it bare. You'd never know from my house but I quite like minimalism ;-) xx

Thanks for all your really helpful replies guys. It looks like the washing machine will find its way into next door’s ‘Garage’/ covered patio where it will be boxed in as you suggested Jules. You’re right this is quite a common in these parts of the planet. I also think something like a bespoke cupboard/cabinet would then be a good option including the Louvre doors on rails as Jonathan suggested. Blocking the window and loosing a fair bit of space is probably too big a sacrifice. Oh and yes, possibly move the fridge to the wall with the window where a fridge always used to be located before the renovation. I will sadly have to swop this little hot paradise for the cold UK again very shortly (well, I’m actually quite looking forward to going home) but will keep you posted on developments as and when. Not it in the least what will happen to our little family of birds in the ‘garage’. :) Had anyone noticed the nest?

Here is an idea of my room design(it was done on ikea and I didn’t do it right but the kitchen won’t be ikea it’s shaker/inframe look with white galaxy quartz countertop and coming 1/2 mtr up the wall. I forgot to put the radiator in but it is on the right across from the table at the end of the countertop
