North Facing Kitchen - Cabinet Colour Help - Stalemate!
Comments (11)Hi Kate - I think you have so many options with this room and you and your partner's preferences are not mutually exclusive. There's a multitude of ways to play it - dependent on your overall design you could have the grey green on the bottom cabinets with white wall cabinets above, or vice versa. You have all white cabinets and then pick out some features in a grey green paint (something similar to Green Smoke by F&B) maybe your window shutters/window seat and the back of the kitchen door and transom window and/or the alcove cupboard fronts? If you are keeping the dark floor my preference would be to go for lighter worktops, and worktop colour will be a big component of the overall look along with cabinet colour. To answer your question re feedback from those with these colours/styles. I have the bodarp grey green unit for my bathroom basin with drawers. It's the same finish as the kitchen. I find that the matt finish does show up more finger/splash marks than a glossier finish. They clean up fine and it's not a major issue but might be a consideration for you - I only have two drawers, you are looking at a lot more than that!...See MoreSeeking the right colour for the kitchen walls to combine the cabinets
Comments (2)It does depend on the style of your room. I saw this picture where taupe and sage green look so lovely together with the natural wood. Green is my favourite colour and I’ve used F&B Cromarty on my living room walls, also a north east facing room....See MoreKitchen cabinet colours
Comments (7)Your kitchen plans sound absolutely stunning! For a warm neutral that complements your deep forest green cabinetry without leaning too pink or green, you might love Hardwick White or Charleston Gray from Farrow & Ball. Hardwick White has a beautifully soft, warm stone quality that works well in varying light, while Charleston Gray brings a refined taupe tone that pairs effortlessly with oak and antique brass accents. Both should add a timeless, elegant contrast while keeping the space warm and inviting. Hope that helps, and best of luck with your kitchen—it's going to look amazing!...See MoreKitchen cabinet colour combination yay or nay?
Comments (1)It depends on the floor and the worktop. I personally would avoid black and avoid having a wood next to the floor if that is also wood....See More- 3 years ago
