No experience with them, but if they are the same surface material as the worktops, I guess they must be as durable as the worktops.

They’re fine to use otherwise they wouldn’t be manufactured. However glass is a better material. It will need templating and is more expensive than laminate but is easier to clean. You can choose a BS or RAL number to have the glass sprayed to, but if you leave it clear the colour of the emulsion on the walls will show through so you don’t have to worry in future about respraying it.

They have the same top layer as your worktop so its a perfect match, but like a worktop any cut edges need to be sealed [protection from water damage] as they are on an mdf core. When you get to a window and the end of the run it will need to have a matched edging. They're not suitable behind a gas hob.

Not a backsplash but I put in an IKEA laminate worktop in my flat in 2010 that was ridiculously cheap - like £20 or so. 11 years later, after 8 years of tenants not particularly looking after it, it was still in perfect condition. I couldn’t believe it! The whole kitchen (cream shaker style with metro tiles) was a selling point despite its age.

I would say as long as they are sealed well along the joints you should have no problems, like all laminate products they can be susceptible to water if not sealed well, good luck wit your project.
