Gosh I’ve never matched lighting room to room, I just buy lighting that suits the decor and style of the room. Interesting question!

We wanted to have a simple look, so the main lights are all downlighters throughout the house except for the dinning room that has like a double volume ceiling.

Thoughts anyone else. We need to make a decision soon. Really need help on this one.

I’m not sure how pendants will look in a bathroom although I have seen a bathroom on Houzz with a chandelier. The lighting needs in a bathroom is predominately functional whereas bedroom lighting can be layered to create different moods. Whatever you choose you would obviously need lights which comply with safety regulations.
