Interior door headers

Hello..

My client likes the idea of the header on this door

to continue right up to the ceiling line, but is looking for more ideas.

I have tried to have a snoop around Houzz, but can't seem to come up with anything.

Please could anyone with images of interior doors that have head panels up to the ceiling please post to this dicussion??

HI -- I have doors that go to the ceiling -- which gives the same look . Love the look -- nice and modern.

Hi - did a quick photo search on houzz and didnt find anything that I thought would interest you ... But ... If you do find something and want it fabricated reasonably locally (ish ) then I'd thoroughly recommend the guys at Lamco in Poole / Bournemouth Dorset - they do some awesome work ! Say Karen at OnePlan highly recommended them !!

Thank you for your suggestion, I think that's what my husband would want. He would prefer the conventional appearance of doors. I can't take a photo as the doors have not yet been installed. I'm wondering if self-adhesive stickers applied to gloss paint would be easy to remove if I needed to revert to plain if husband disapproved!

You need to look online and see what you like. It’s a minefield of choice. The. Company I work with fit and sell 1000s. All different designs according to what the customer wants. Look online at the following websites: J B Kind LPD Doors They won’t sell direct to you as they are trade only, but they are the biggest sellers in the UK. They will advise you of a local company.

As Jonathan says they look like original doors that have been stripped of the paint (not that well!) and maybe waxed or varnished with a matt finish. Pine does age with time and turns a more golden colour, but that can take a while. I wonder if it is worth getting a piece of unfinished pine, such as a shelf, and try out different finishes on it?
