Kitchen with White Cabinets, Quartz Worktops and All Types of Island Ideas and Designs

We were commissioned to design and make a bespoke kitchen and a separate dining space with banquette seating for our clients, who were in the process of having a new private home built on the outskirts of Winchester. Following these initial projects, we were then briefed to design and create all the fitted furniture for the pantry, laundry room, boot room, banquette seating for the bedroom, a walk-in wardrobe and a bathroom vanity. We worked closely with our clients who had a distinct vision of the aesthetic they were seeking, so our role was to interpret their requirements to create a beautiful kitchen and dining area, designed with perfect flow and functionality, and perfectly in-keeping with the rest of the space. The entire ground floor is neutrally decorated in Stone 1 by Paint & Paper Library on the walls and ceiling. It has large black steel Crittall windows throughout, with full-height Crittall doors leading to the garden. Matching internal glazed panel doors lead to a separate drawing room, while the rest of the ground floor is dedicated to the open plan kitchen and entertaining area. The hand-laid patterned Ash flooring was chosen during the design process so the dark stain of the vertical grain Oak veneered fronts, and plinth on the island was chosen to complement it. All Antique Brass knobs and handles are by Armac Martin and all Antique Brass wall brackets are by Corston Architectural. These complement the pendant and wall lights by Apparatus Studio and wall lights above the sink run by Blue Print Lighting NYC. There are two main runs of cabinetry which are made using dark stained oak carcases and solid oak shelves. The 22mm thick door and drawer fronts feature 18mm broken ogee bead mouldings and all are handpainted in Stone 2 by Paint & Paper Library. The tall run behind the island runs floor-to-ceiling with a moulded cornice at the top matching the cornicing in the rest of the room. Five storage top boxes run along the length of the cabinetry and are situated above (from left) a tall integrated cabinet for glasses, next to an integrated tall freezer by Gaggenau. At the centre is housing for a bank of Gaggenau Vario 400 cooking appliances consisting of a single oven with a combination microwave above and a 29cm culinary drawer beneath. A reduced height top box and a shallow drawer for racks and trays are above and below. To the right is a tall integrated fridge next to an integrated three-zone wine conditioning cabinet, all by Gaggenau. On the task side, directly in front of the bank of ovens, is a personalised Gaggenau cook centre mounted within the 3.6m x 1.3m island’s 30mm thick Bianco Superiore Honed Quartzite worktop. This comprises a domino gas hob, domino induction hob and domino teppan yaki, separated by two downdraft extractors in-between and all feature rotary controls integrated within cabinetry beneath. The entire hob set is rebated into the worktop providing a completely flush finish. Also on the task side are handleless deep drawers for pots and pans beneath handleless shallow drawers for cutlery and utensils. At one end of the island is a square ceramic undermount sink by Shaws and Quooker Fusion Pro3 Boiling Water Tap with a special finish, which is used for food preparation. The facing side of the island features further handleless cabinets, all with pull-out shelves on soft close runners, together with further shallow storage drawers above them. The long sink run extends beneath a large Crittall window. Undercounter from left is an integrated pull-out fridge by Liebherr next to two pull-out storage drawers and a cabinet for pull-out bins. At the centre is a Shaws Entwistle single bowl sink with an aged brass Perrin & Rowe Ionian Tap. Beneath the farmhouse style sink is a 30mm quartzite sill to accommodate for spils and splashes protecting the painted woodwork of the sink cabinet, a signature addition by Searle & Taylor. To the right of the sink is a 60cm integrated dishwasher by Miele adjacent to further deep and shallow storage drawers. At the end of the run is a specially designed cabinet for two dark oak pull-out trays and two solid dark oak pull-out chopping boards, another signature design by Searle & Taylor. Matching the quartzite worktop is a 30mm splashback and upstand in the same material. In addition, there are four 30mm thick quartzite shelves with with ogee edged moulding, that sit upon the Corston Architectural brackets. To the right of the kitchen area is the dining area within a triple window recess. Built within the bay is a large bespoke banquette seating area made by Searle & Taylor, with piano-hinged lids to provide hidden cushion storage behind the seats. LED lighting runs at the base of the cabinetry to make a feature of the seating at night. On either side of the banquette are alcove cabinets in the same dark oak stained veneer as the kitchen island and kitchen accents. An oval dark oak Miniforms Monoplauto dining table from Go Modern sits at the centre with two further Fritz Harken Series 7 dining chairs from The Conran Shop.

Golden Harmony is a cozy and elegant home project designed by DG Interiors. The kitchen features clean white cabinetry, black stone countertops, and golden accents that add warmth and sophistication. Open shelves with soft lighting showcase artful decor, bringing personality into the space. The bedroom blends soft pink tones with smart storage and a functional work area. Built-in shelves, cozy textures, and playful details make it perfect for a young resident, combining style and comfort in one.

The generous proportions of this kitchen are enhanced by a vaulted ceiling finished in painted tongue and groove boarding, with a circular feature window bringing additional natural light into the space. A symmetrical layout centres the sink beneath the main window, framed by tall cabinetry and balanced shelving, while the stained oak island anchors the room and provides both seating and storage. The cabinetry is painted in Paint & Paper Library Stone III (203) with classic shaker doors featuring 60mm rails and stiles and cockbeaded drawer fronts. The island is finished in oak with a Jacobean stain and topped with honed black granite, contrasting with the polished Classic Quartz HS323 Valetta worktops used around the perimeter.

This inviting U-shaped kitchen marries traditional charm with a bright, contemporary palette, creating a space that is warm, graceful, and unmistakably current. The design pairs shaker cabinetry in Whimbourne White for a crisp foundation with an island in Deep Forest Green for depth and contrast. The luminous veining of Calacatta Glow quartz sweeps across worktops, upstands, and the hob backsplash, complemented by gold hardware, electrical accents, and a matching Quooker tap for a modern, gently glamorous edge. Functionality has been carefully woven throughout, supporting the rhythm of a busy home. The concealed bi-fold breakfast station streamlines morning routines, and the wall-run sink and hob leaves the island open to quickly deliver breakfast during early school mornings. The larder combines a pocket-door for ergonomic access and a swing-hinged with integrated spice racking for intuitive everyday use. Beyond the kitchen, the Forest Green theme continues into a well-equipped utility and bootroom. The raised washer and dryer with pullout shelving simplify laundry tasks, with additional sink for handwashing built beside. Opposite, a coat rack, bench, and boot storage help keep the rest of the house clean and tidy. Together, these spaces form a home hub that is practical, elegant, and future proofed for the demands of family life.

A typical Scandinavian kitchen… Clean simplistic lines and high quality durable materials are the focal point of this design. Solid birch cabinetry is matched with an Artscut Calacatta Gold splashback and worktop. An extra long sink has been carved into the worktop in order to home an indoor herb garden or an ice trough , whichever is preferred!

Demolish existing conservatory, remove structural wall between the conservatory and kitchen and open up the wall between the kitchen and garden. Build new dining room, with aluminium french doors to both dining room and kitchen. Brickwork has been coloured to match/blend with the original. New insulation below the floors, limestone floor tiles and skirtings, new radiators, new lighting and electrics, new traditional style plaster cornices, with all areas painted and decorated.

Situé au cœur de la dynamique ville de Puteaux, à deux pas de La Défense, cet appartement de 28m2 était dans un état de détérioration avancé, résultante de l’absence de travaux pendant plusieurs décennies. Malgré son état défraîchi, la présence d’un jardin à l’avant du bien conquis immédiatement la propriétaire qui y vu un atout majeur. Investissement en guise de pied à terre, le cahier des charges était clair : créer un espace nuit indépendant, condamner l’accès par les parties communes pour entrer dans l’appartement par le jardin, le tout dans une ambiance épurée et lumineuse. Résultat : un espace extérieur métamorphosé avec une terrasse accueillante, donnant l’accès à la pièce à vivre. Une cuisine fonctionnelle où de nombreux rangements se combinent à l’électroménager dissimulé (lave vaisselle et réfrigérateur sous plan), s’articule autour d’un espace dînatoire sur mesure pour trois convives. Le sanitaire indépendant prend place avant l’accès à « la suite ». La chambre en second jour baignée de lumière grâce à la verrière en tête de lit, abrite un linéaire dressing et une bibliothèque. Enfin, la salle d’eau dévoile une belle douche de 130x90cm, combiné à un plan vasque sous lequel se dissimule le lave linge encastré. Les matériaux naturels se conjuguent à la praticité d’usage ; un carrelage effet parquet au sol de l’ensemble de la surface réchauffe l’atmosphère. Béton ciré, peinture à la chaux, tissus chinés et lumières indirectes créent ainsi un cocon chaleureux où les nuances de blancs et de beiges s’unissent. Un projet clé en main intérieur/extérieur pour ce nouveau deux pièces métamorphosé.

A bespoke, handmade Shaker style kitchen with ‘in-frame’ mortice and tennon doors fitted on traditional butt hinges. This luxurious kitchen features Oak dovetailed and polished drawer boxes on soft-close concealed runners and a solid rigid carcass in polished Oak, except for the pantry unit that is in rich Walnut. The island units and Utility room have been factory painted in Library by Plimsoll and all other units are factory painted in Bone China Blue (Pale) from Little Greene Paint & Paper. All pull handles and knobs are in an Old Pewter finish, to co-ordinate with the Bosch appliances, whilst the brassware is by Quooker and Hans Grohe.
