beach master bath
After working on our master bedroom/closet/office, we looked to the bathroom for ways to make some simple, effective, and for now, smaller, changes to enhance the space and lighting. I would love to convert the large, walk in-shower with sliding glass doors, to the curb-less style with partially glassed-in entrance as an update and I love the look and practicality as well; this is probably because of our investigation and research as we have been looking forward to completing the same at our farmhouse someday. There is already have a large tub with jets as in our other home as well, so we would be leaving this. Adding color through tile and changing up linens would bring the aqua/blue/coral accents into play here, that would carry over from our bedroom. I am using Mercury Glass in this bathroom and noticed a designer using similar idea w/ different ones yet it looks great.
After removing the old mirror which was "wall-to-wall", and was attached almost upon the back-splash, this is a good way to change and correct this area. The round mirror is 3' wide, with a 1" bevel, heavy weight, while it visually appears to be lighter, softens the space, still reflects light and the updated fixture is classic and 3, 60-w bulbs are great w/ overhead spots in ceiling as well as needed. We continued the same neutral off-white and white trim paint throughout as in the bedroom.
IF I had a different full sized vanity with only one sink, not 2 as is now, this would be ideal for extra built-in storage.
