Spruce up the flooring. The flooring in this photo is ceramic tile, but you can get the same look with inexpensive peel-and-stick tiles. I used black and white checkerboard peel-and-stick tiles in my kitchen when I was on a very low budget in my first home, and they held up for five years.

This is one superstylish and organized space. This entryway system has a place where every member of the family can store items, a bench for putting on shoes and a handsome row of hooks for hanging scarves, bags, dog leashes and such for grabbing on the way out the door. Organization can be both beautiful and functional.
