6'8" doors with transom above. inoperable window above your doors If you want the light coming through, then do this - don't just add taller doors because its "on trend", do it because it makes sense to your home and the space. If you truly love more light and/or want more drama - adding a transom above is the perfect solution. Spend the money you save on fabulous mosaic tiles and gorgeous light fixtures. Way more bang for your buck!

doors - 9 ft ceilings with standard doors and transom? or could do 7 ft doors. with 10 ft ceilings would do 8 ft doors
