Modern again, but the only color in the room is the sofa, and it is not boring! Nice side chairs... Renee - no, nor boring - hideous.

This is VERY midcentury modern, but the ideas could translate more into a more transitional style. Notice the neutral rug,, the light but inviting side chair, and the fact that the room feels VERY colorful, with only one wall and a sofa that are bringing any color. Renee: Colors work for me. The call to the sofa is nice - but I don't like the furniture itself.

I know this style doesn't look like you at all, but look at the chaise under the window idea......Renee; Yes this furniture is boxy for me taste. But Faye, I just don't get a seating arrangement that treats that mountain view like something to have at your backside. I guess how I would describe is that when I am sitting in my living room, the woods are the guests on that side of the circle - does that make sense?

Look how light and fun these side chairs are..... Renee: I love the look of these chairs. I think I want to sit in chairs with arms though. I feel like I don't know what to do with my arms in chairs like this.
