There is an option like this in the design center showroom. Has more colors in it...black, Greg, beige too.
Possible to add a small version of the same wood as a backsplash behind your adjacent cabinets.
You could have something built below it to anchor the TV on the wall.

I think this looks great. Would look even better with lighting in either side.

An interesting way to tie in the fireplace, may be to get a piece of bar wood mantel , the same color as the wall.
This is a very rustic but cool version of some of the wood they had.
