Here is what we used on my daughter's table and I just used it on my RH coffee table last week. Love the stuff. This is the $8 sample bottle and it goes a long way. Two sample bottles would be more than enough for any size table.

Just wanted to update to say we did buy little $8 clear rubio monocoat sample bottles for my daughter's table and it is awesome. Just rub on with a cloth and rub off excess 10 minutes later. Takes several weeks to completely dry. Creates a wonderful, beautiful, no shine whatsoever, well protected surface. Not a single stain since it was applied several months ago with 2 messy young kids. A little goes a long way. Only used half of a small sample bottle for the top of a 60" round table. It's a permanent finish so should only need to be done once. Can't recommend it enough. I'm going to borrow hers to use on my RH unfinished coffee table.
