11/201/8:CC: do the pavers,etc become unbearably hot? and so another reason to break up the pavers with turf? Pool -- the strips of inset artificial grass are very popular right now and help break up the concrete, pavers, or other hard surface. Some of the more interesting mid-century places just hitting the market have non-linear shapes to the turf.
