Would a series of pulldown drying racks be sufficient for the volume of clothes we air dry? Pat would probably use for his athletic gear. I worry once all my work clothes etc were on it it would look messy.

perhaps center the laundry sink under the window and put the washer and dryer to the right by the door.

Efficient design. Bins for each person below counter. Hanging rack above - must be long enough to accommodate a short dress.

I think our laundry room if located at the far end of the kitchen would have a similar feel. Not sure how I feel about mixing laundry (clean) with wet dogs (dirty!)
