We do not have records of the final color for this pool, but
you can achieve a similar color with a medium gray plaster. The blue comes from the sky. We generally don’t promote normal plaster in
our office due to the swirling in the finish.
We recommend PebbleTec, PebbleSheen, WetEdge and Hydrazzo as they are
uniform finishes. You can get a similar
color to this pool with Tahoe Blue in PebbleTec or Prism Blue in PebbleSheen. I would highly suggest speaking to a rep from
one of these finish companies as there are many factors to consider with pool
color. The two biggest issues to
consider are water depth and reflected colors.
The more shallow the pool, the more of the parent color of the plaster
you will see and less of the blue reflection from the sky. Reflections are just as important. The pool in this photo does not have yellow
or green in the plaster, but is reflecting the foliage of the large trees in
the background. In this case, adding any
green to the plaster would have made the water look like growing algae. I hope that helps.
